  1. Re: Cool Guns for your Games Couldn't leave it alone, sorry.
  2. Re: Cool Guns for your Games More from that site: I love the guns from the 70s, they're so Bond:
  3. Re: Champions games you've run My latest Champs run the old heroes were around, but not commonly available. I tend to run in the Marvel universe, just for ease of transition, rather than the Champs universe. That keeps down the Wolvie clones. So, for example, Doc Samson was a Dean of UCSF medical center, where the heroes wind up a lot for their wounds or other's. They haven't gone looking for the rest, yet, for some reason. Could be the cautionary tales I throw in: last time they called for high-powered help, there were serious problems, and a doctor died.
  4. Re: Fallout Perks A - C No worries. If he finds them useful, I'll work on D to Z.
  5. Re: Actor Package Deals This is the cinematic Seagal. The real one has more aikido and less CIA. SPY magazine did an expose before it went belly up.
  6. Re: Cool Guns for your Games One of the guns from that site:
  7. Re: Cool Guns for your Games Found this. If it's been posted before, sorry. http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg172-e.htm

  9. Re: where do the villains get the MONEY? You know, in one of the Parker books, the protagonist indicates that the best place to get a lot of money fast was a check-cashing place. They're not as heavily-guarded as a bank, and not a federal beef, either.
  10. Re: Champions and the IRS In a world with superheroes, maybe they can apply for a tax id, just like a nonprofit or a corporation.
  11. Re: Character Names Wolf: Wolf is okami in Japanese, and O-kami means great spirit. So his name's a pun. Maelstrom: I just liked the name. Psi-blade: pretty self-explanatory.

  13. Re: What happens in Vegas... Nothing. He might have arrived after the fighting was over. None of my characters are screwed up enough to really care what he did with his holidays or interrupt his fun.
  14. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Two words: "Jedi Karaoke" *sigh*

    Armored Suit

Re: Armored Suit One approach I didn't listed was the use of the vehicle rules for powered armor, as mentioned in the Ultimate Vehicle rules. Maybe he got into a VW bug, and psionically shaped it into the mighty Volksarmor.
  16. Re: Rocketship Empires! I bought this and Gunslinger Betty. I like them both and wait for more with breath abated.
  17. Re: Betatesting? Yes! Bring on the Beta! How do we sign up?
  18. Re: Tell us about your Pulp game! My pulp game is actually set in a quasi-Victorian 19th century. More Steam Pulp than Nazi-bashing, the heroic adventurers represent the cause of Science! against superstition and magic.
  19. Re: Jedi build ideas? I built the lightsabers as attacks with limited defense, rather than NND's, and of course they did body. Force fields stopped them. I prefer the multipower approach, since really Jedi's don't have that wide a variety of powers. I required the Jedi to buy END batteries, though, and these batteries had to have the disadvantage that they were easily detectable through "Detect Force" -- the guys with the biggest batteries could be noticed from interstellar distances.
  20. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program I think the idea that you have to attain certain ranks within the Corps to attain certain ranks within the art interesting. Could this be another limitation to balance out an art? Has this been mentioned before?
  21. Re: Anybody ever play Fantasy Superheroes? I ran a game once where the characters were various avatars of various Indian gods, which worked well since none of the rest of them had read "Lord of Light".
  22. Re: Susano's Song-Based DC NPCs How about the Eagles' Disco Strangler? Lookin’ for the good life Dressed to kill She don’t have to worry ’cause There’s always someone else who will Loose and loaded every night Dancin’ underneath the flashin’ light Sayin, ’look at me, baby, look at me. I’m beautiful, I’m beautiful, I’m somebody.’ Just slip into the arms of the disco strangler He’s been around here all along, baby, Been waiting for his time to come. You lookin’ for attention, darlin’ He will surely give you some He’s the crimson in your face du jour, The fiddler in your darkest night. He’s the melody without a cure and Rome is burning, but that’s all right. Just slip into the arms of the disco strangler Just slip into the arms of the disco strangler
  23. Re: [Worst Ever...] Reasons to be a superhero To immerse myself in violence so that I don't have to deal with my personal problems or emotional inadequacies.
