I'm thinking the way things are going right now is more about appeasing their Perfect World masters.

  6. Re: Value of Social Lim: No Human Rights I guess the issue is how likely humanlike you appear. If there is no visual cues, you should be ok, but if you looked like our favorite shellbacks, you are likely to persecuted depending on the nature of the game that is run.

  8. Re: Who died in the 'Who Will Die ?' story arc Technically, the Who Will Die storyline is City of Heroes and not Champions Online, so it doesn't belong here. That being said, I never got to play more than the first part of the story arc and I'm curious about it myself.
  9. Hi, Steve. Hope things are going well with you. My question is: Can you use Multiple Attack with the Haymaker maneuver? I can't find anything that specifically restricts using Multiple Attack with the Haymaker maneuver to make multiple high powered attacks. Are you DCV 0 because each of these efforts reduce you to 1/2 DCV?

  12. Re: Damage reduction On 6e1 184, It says that the Resistant Damage Reduction affects Drain STUN or Drain BODY (but not other types of Drains). I assume the way the Damage Reduction is purchased is the final determining factor. If you buy Resistant Energy Damage Reduction, an energy based Drain attack would be affected by it.

  14. Re: Using DEX instead of STR for precision attacks. Is the feat he wants called Weapon Finesse? If it is, I think you should buy STR equal to the value of the character's DEX with Inherent and 0 END Advantage as this STR should not be subject to adjustment powers nor should use any extra effort to use over his normal STR, Linked(proportional to DEX), Use normal STR score for STR Min, END use (-1/4), Only for Hand-to-Hand Damage(-1/2), & Only Unarmed or One-handed weapons(-1/2). The idea behind it is that it acts as a STR replacement for your appropriate weapons(Weapon Finesse can only be used with a light weapon[unarmed is considered light], rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category), can only be used with damaging your opponent and still requires the character's base STR Min to wield the weapon. Drains on DEX will still affect how much of this power's STR is used because of how linked works and it still respects the way Strength is used in the Hero System.

The only example of gaining power from emotion I can remember is the entity from the Star Trek episode "Day of the Dove" and in that case, it strengthened its ability to manipulate its surroundings to generate more hatred.   22. Re: Force Field In the APG 62, they refer that very way of writing up that sort of defense. It is referred to as "Damage-Based Endurance Cost". It is either -1/4 or -1/2, depending on how much END you pay which is based on the active cost of the defense.

Re: Charging Powers I would buy it like this: Chargeable Blast: (Total: 70 Active Cost, 65 Real Cost) Blast 10d6 (Real Cost: 50) plus Blast 2d6 (10 Active Points); Extra Time (Delayed Phase, -1/4) (Real Cost: 8) plus Blast 2d6 (10 Active Points); Extra Time (Full Phase, -1/2) (Real Cost: 7) You get 10 dice normally, 12 if you use a full phase or delay phase, 14 if you use your full phase delayed and if you really need it, use haymaker on the Chargeable Blast and get another +4
  25. Re: Flares from Iron Man Christopher is correct, the question of how missiles are built indeed affects how you buy the countermeasures. A Sidewinder, for example, is a heat seeking missile that explodes when it detects it is adjacent to its target. A jet would either rely on having good situational awareness thanks to their wingman spotting the missile's smoke trail or might have advanced electro-optical systems that can detect the launch of a missile. Only then could they launch flares to confuse the sensors on the missile. If a heat seeker missile is bought as a vehicle/automaton/self acting foci and is using Infrared targeting sense, then Images using Infrared could force the missile to make a Perception roll to determine the proper target.
