  1. I'm in a similar boat. The content just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I tend to play more with the costume generator, trying to find inspiration for character concepts, since I'm one to come up with ideas from pictures.
  2. I've been online in Champions Online, trying to keep the Legion of Heroes supergroup Steve Long created alive. I, also, have a few characters I'll roleplay there, but sadly those times are few and far between.
  3. I seem to recall it was a plastic back when they called it Questonite. The metal that it is commonly referred to now is Questionite.
  4. You could talk with another person on your team about improving the EGO and BODY stats. Intense training could help improve your focus, thus justify the EGO, and learning to take a beatdown can justify BODY. Rapid Attack and Defense Attack could be obtained, if you have a teammate that also has them, like Psi-kick, in the case of Street Angel, since they are in the same game, but up to the limits she has, but I can also see, with further training, how he might get past her limitations.
  5. I'm curious how these weapons were written up. The weapon in CC and the HSEG was AP, Double Penetrating as Hyper-Man & Amorca mentioned.
  6. I was looking for a reference to a Questonite blade of some sort in a 5th or 6th Edition sourcebook. Can anyone tell me how it was written up and where?
  7. Well, I know writing up gravity and powers that simulate it are a pain in the keister, but is there some way we can be consistent about it? I previously posted a question about Gravity Control as a power to the Rule Questions forum and Steve Long suggested the following: I think using Change Environment(CE) is an elegant solution to the question of gravity. All that needs doing is defining the direction the gravity is working and remember, falling doesn't do the damage, it's how the body reacts when trying to fight said gravity.
  8. I've been trying to follow your progress as best I can. I'm still genuinely interested in seeing how things are going.
  9. This is what I used on my own Combat Precognition character: Bonus to OCV & DCV with a precog SFX Danger Sense Overall Levels to Skill use that would be resolved in a relative short span Useful for being able to notice stuff, because you had the whole time interval in the future to look for it Anticipating conversation paths Being able to correct mistakes made before they happen You could try: Remote Viewing with Clairsentience: Looking around in the area limited to how far you could have moved in that time frame Desolid: To avoid attacks you could sense were coming up. Triggered Movement could represent a way to dive for cover w/o actually going prone
  10. Batman, in the early films, used smoke grenades as a means of escaping the cops, did he not?
  11. Personally, I prefer a system that allows for more drama, in the event of a conflict. So, I tend to like Warp Drives akin to Star Trek, but recently, with the Star Citizen game, they have a jump point or hyperdrive-like system, but engages the player because you need a pilot to navigate the tunnel between points. Here is an example video I cobbled together that shows it off.
  12. Hi, gang. Sorry I haven't kept in the loop. I still have my accts with Champions Online, Star Trek Online, DDO. While I have not played them in a while, I'm always willing to play with my fellow Herophiles.
  13. I can't say that I'm 100% familiar with WoW, but couldn't you just buy the extra END Jaina needs for her spell casting as a limitation called Mana?
  14. Rick Jones was Captain Avenger back in the 1970's, this reference(http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix3/captainavenger.htm) is to be believed.
  15. When threads get hostile and go off point, like this one did, I will rather have a thread locked than this forum be associated as a place not welcoming to discussion and approachable to new players.
  16. Ok, does this mean the thread has jumped the shark already and needs to be closed???
  17. I feel sorry for the rat populations in the city, should that many snakes be in a relatively contained space. Just imagine the rats fleeing areas of the city because of the huge numbers of predators. Sounds like a potential story to me.
  18. Just imagine the levels of superdickery if the GM used that as a megascale attack to use against the city, knowing that a player would have that limitation.
  19. What is the point behind an efficient character build, if it doesn't truly reflect the character you are trying to writeup in the first place? Not saying that gaming the system is all bad, I might tweak a character to have a 13 or 18 in a particular stat, but the point is to represent the character, not to represent the character efficiently.
  20. I rather not prolong an argument.
  21. We've discussed the points of view and offered our suggestions. Before this conversation gets any more volatile, can we lock this thread please?
  22. 9 points by itself, maybe not, but Munchkins rarely stop at 1 vector of munchkinism. They will try doing it every chance they can that makes sense.
  23. I think the main point Shiva is saying that unless the character concept submitted justifies the need to drop the appropriate MCV stats, then it is munchkin behavior.
  24. Sorry to bust your bubble, but after examining Champions Complete and the 6th Edition Vol 1 book, I can clearly see that the issue of children having 0 OMCV & DMCV in the table is the result of a typo. Looks like something else that'll need to be corrected for the PDF and next printing. The cost of being a small child is the same in CC 207 as it is in 6E1 437, -55 points, and since the 6th Ed version of small children has OMCV & DMCV at 3, it is clear that the CC version has to have them at 3 also.
