  1. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Why are there so few seats in the waiting areas of either Bangkok or Domededevo airport? I hate having to sit on the floors, I'm far too old for this stuff.

  8. Re: The Night of the 1001 Character Pics… Taken some, abused them, left them as ragged wrung out shells of the creatures they once were. A nice resource, thanks! When my rep cookie has recovered, I owe you.
  9. Re: Wwyd ???? Nah, it's still reality so it must be a reaction to last nights epic beer consumtion followed by a bad vindaloo curry. So; "Why do all these freaks speak to me when I'm feeling bad? Look, here's some money, now just go away! Okay?"
  10. Re: Top Five vs The Unknown Menace! Dormammu I believe. (Damn, why won't my boss let me keep my source materials spread on my desk huh?) Juggernaut good, Monghul better, That metal armoured shell "The Destroyer" from the early Thor stories, probably better yet. Darkseid has a wee bit too much ego for the rest (teamwork? What team?).
  11. Re: Musings on Random Musings I'm glad you added the last sentence. I thought you were becoming all human and sticky. And that would never do.
  12. Re: The cranky thread Get ear plugs
  13. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I go off shift on Monday. Tyumen to Moscow, Moscow to Bangkok and the family... YAAAYYYY!!!!! Three weeks of good food and playing with my daughter. Luxury!
  14. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Oooh! Bad Company! Nice! I've got; Mama told me not to come - 3 Dog Night

  16. Re: Complicate the Person Above Enforcer84's latest diary entries has been leaked onto the internet. He's now the Official poster boy of the Tiny Tim Fan Club.
  17. Re: Musings on Random Musings Bank fees? AHHHH!!! I pull roubles from my US bank account while on shift here in Siberia. I get charged $1.50 by Citibank for using an ATM and 1% for pulling money in a foriegn currency. Then I get hit by the ATM provider (GazPromBank) for 100 Roubles (about $4) because it's not a rouble denominated ATM card. So a $100 withdrawal, which lasts me a week, is a $106.50 debit to my account. Transfering cash from Sterling to dollars is just as bad. I get charged 30GBP ($50) for a transfer - any transfer - to my US bank and then the US bank hits me for $10 to accept the incoming money. I see it as a way of forcing you to do all your business with one bank. But when that bugger doesn't have branches all over the world, lord it gets expensive.
  18. Re: Top Five vs The Unknown Menace! I think Pogo almost got it right there. Except I'd have included destroyer Duck and (almost without saying) Howard the Duck instead of Daffy and Donald. Wolverine is a given though.
  19. Re: Titles for your character Kapitan Reich has been called the Arayan Superman by the Nazi press of his home timeline. He's also been called the 'blond booger' and "Pigheaded, stuck up Prussian idiot" in this time line. Do those count?
  20. Re: WWYCD - The Night of the Dead Kapitan Reich - the dimensionally lost superhero from a world where Nazi Europe continues today, would probably be visited by the ghost of his father (the first KR), a true Arayan Superman. They'd spend all night discussing the why's and what's of why his son, although a party member, disowns the Eugenics Commission. And why, in fact, he supports various antisocial elements like the European Freedom League and those verdamdt American Crusaders! The conversation would be long, loud and probably require a hazmat team in the morning.

  22. Re: Musings on Random Musings And some countries have the holdovers, like early closing on Sundays. Or not opening at all. Russia is wierd, here in Tyumen, the shops open at 9.00am and close at 8.00pm. I an see staying open till 10.00pm, but people don't get off work till 7.00pm. Got lots of rushing around to do.

  24. Re: Require help with building a follower A "standard" defect in these things when I use them is that, as a bunch of the physical attributes would involve some sort of bio-feedback, it has a random clumsiness. Like the wearer wants to gently pick up an egg, but the suit over multiples the strength, result is splatter. The suit can't compensate for involuntary things like a sneeze or a body shiver, sudden head movements perhaps, multiplying the physical effects. This can bought off with experience of course. Another could be on waste recycling. Need to pee? How to do it? How does the suit handle it and what are the after effects? It gives you good sub plots on the suit attempting to understand the organic thing inside it.
