  1. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Lace and Whiskey - Alice Cooper
  2. Re: Wow....that is a useless power for sure.... That was the entire applicant line up from an early Adventure comics "Legion of Super Heroes" story. Plant lad made it into the Substitute Legion of Superheroes as Chlorophyl kid and the rest became the Substitute's Reserve I think.
  3. Re: Lost and Found super-ads Lost - Paradise. If found, please return to Milton or call 666-SATAN. A reward will be given.
  4. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Some Girls - The Rolling Stones
  5. Re: The cranky thread Yay! Our water pump is now fixed. So, of course, it rains. Lord, I hate Siberia.
  6. Re: Complicate the Person Above Apparently Thia still owes the community college $22.70 for a course in Greek Haiku construction (remedial).
  7. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Clint Eastwood and the Smurfs collaborate on Paint my Smurf. A richly lit film filled with the wonderful music and great tunes. Papa Smurf singing "Wandering Star" deserved it's 'Gold' disc. Indeed it led directly to the papa Smurf vehicle "The Man with the Golden Smurf". A much under rated movie.
  8. Re: Complicate the Person Above death tribble once appeared on Fantasy Island as Ricardo Montalbans spare wig.
  9. Re: A Thread for Random Musings So, expenses in US$, paid to UK bank, converts to GBP, transmit GBP to Russian bank, convert to Roubles... I wonder how much I've lost on the deal?
  10. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Ego 6... He must have spent a lot of time saying "I was only following orders!" Pretty high level campaign that one.
  11. Re: Foxbat Went a Courtin'.... If you have Foxbette with a rivalry, surely (stop calling me Shirley) Foxbat would also gain similar. After all, this is the only woman who REALLY understands him. And to have her being even slightly impressed by one of those muscle bound oiks like Golden Avenger would be... very bad.
  12. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Our client has a split personality. Attempting to graft Western management onto Russian organization structures never works. You'd have thought BP would have learnt by now.
  13. Re: Pimp my Pulp Ride Now that is a nice car. A 1937 supercharged Cord.
  14. Re: Things I Have Learned Playing a Hard Boiled Detective Guns are gats. Pistols are smooth guys.
  15. Re: Foxbat Went a Courtin'.... Nice one. Better than a play on "Tango & Cash" anyway.
  16. Re: Villian: Bad E. Wolf While I never saw the Coyote speak in any of the cartoons where his plans fell to pieces (He always held up a sign saying "Uh-Oh" or "Ouch!"), I presume he spoke while ordering his Acme kit. So make it a psycho limitation - "Cannot speak while in presence of road runners - Uncommon, total". rather than a physical limitation.
  17. Re: Lost and Found super-ads Found: A label, with dwarven runes saying "If found, return to Asgard". USP cannot verify the post code. Can owner collect?
  18. Re: The cranky thread Cranky? I'm currently living in a 20foot container remodelled as a bedroom with toilet & shower, in Siberia. We're 280kM from anything resembling a village in the middle of Taiga that, I think, first saw humans when our survey crew arrived. We get here by helicopter, stay for 2 weeks and then chopper out to where we can get a light aircraft to Tyumen and then a Tu154 to Moscow. We use the mobile satelite link to do all our work, communicate and stay in touch with families. Unfortunatley the water pump on our temporary well broke yesterday and my mechanical man won't be able to fix it till tomorrow when the supply chopper arrives. So showers, laundry etc, are not on our list of activities. We take water from the river, boil the heck out of it and drink that. We know we can drink it as it is, there's a village about 280kM down stream that does fine, but we can't take the 5 days of diarhea that would result as we change out stomach bacteria. So, cranky? I can do that!
  19. Re: Foxbat Went a Courtin'.... Back at Foxbette. Where are the dancing skills/knowledge? They have to stop and dance at some point in the combat / robbery / escape from justice. Preferably a tango, but a waltz would work. Golden Avenger lies trapped under a large cargo net, only able to move slightly. Foxbat hefts the duffel bag containing the $5 million in bearer bonds and smiles at his wife. FB - "Nice move, but that net isn't going to hold him for long darling..." Fb - "Long enough lover. I've brought music." FB - "Do you mean...?" Fb - "Yes! Shall we?" FB - "But of course!" Foxbat takes his wife in his arms. They strike the first pose and, as the music swells, begin the first steps of the Russian Tango. FB - "See ya' around big guy!" Fb ; "Bye! We must do this again some time!" And they dance away, while the Golden Avenger, held tightly by the cargo net that pins him down, just gazes in disbelief.

  22. Re: Complicate the Person Above Despite being very tolerant of small furry animals, Mentor is to be sued for inventing plastic Rutabaga's and then not placing warning signs on them.
