Lee reacted to Christopher R Taylor in Marvel Cinematic Universe, Phase Three and BEYOOOOONND
I have always liked Blade and Ghost Rider, and I liked the original Moon Knight run, but the others meh. And Moon Knight has had more reboots, versions, and changes than Hawkman so who even knows what they want to do with him? Done as a silver batman he's great. All that other stuff? None of it worked.

Lee reacted to Old Man in Coronavirus
About 12 hours after my 2nd Pfizer shot I got body aches which lasted about 24 hours. Irritating but I managed it with ibuprofen.

Trying to make sense of time travel plots is a waste of time. They never hold up to scrutiny, and most of them don't even hold up to casual consideration, which is why I hate them.

I will not attempt the "God of all gods who are not gods of themselves" thing is about all I've decided upon.

Natalie Portman wasn't enthused by the Jane Foster role in the first two Thor movies, essentially the girlfriend. Not much of a challenge, and little character growth over those movies. Obviously this Jane Foster is going to be very different. I'm sure the chance to work with Taika Waititi was another inducement. And while I can't speak to attitude problems from Portman generally from anything I've heard, the training she undertook for Black Swan left me impressed with her work ethic. As has her obvious pumping up for this more physical role.

That letter suggests there's something to age impairing mental function after all.
Ironically, it was fair for one of the signatories to claim, "We are facing threats greater than at any other time since our country was founded." He just doesn't recognize that the threat includes himself.

Second dose of Pfizer seven minutes ago. Am now manifesting the powers of a pharmaceutical corporation.

Lee reacted to Hugh Neilson in Coronavirus
Highly disappointed. Pfizer shot one 2 days ago and nothing. No developing armored carapace, no signs of a third eye...nothing.
Maybe it was a defective batch

Lee reacted to Pariah in Political Discussion Thread (With Rules)
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

I had my second Moderna shot on Friday. So far, the side effects have been identical to the first one (the injection site is very tender).

Lee reacted to Christopher R Taylor in Camp as Base
Yeah I think the base its self isn't the whole grounds, its just the base part: the buildings, etc. The surrounding area is just its location. Like how you don't have to buy the ocean and sharks and water that drowns people and requires swimming if you buy a base floating in the ocean.

Lee got a reaction from TrickstaPriest in Coronavirus
I think Rocket described my body perfectly in the same movie. "[I] look like melted ice cream."
Well the side effects are starting to kick in. A couple of hours ago I started feeling feverish and right after I got pretty severe chills, although they're getting better. The fatigue is kicking in, too. My arm's sore (no worse than the first one, though). I'd give anything to not be here at work. I'm going to ask my boss if I can go home (he's really cool about things like that). But I also had a doctor's appointment (my regular checkup) today, too. I'm waiting to hear back from them to see if I should reschedule or not.
It sucks, but at least it's doing what it's supposed to be doing.
Just thought that some of you that haven't had either shot or just the first one might like some more info on what it's like the second time around.

Lee reacted to Chris Goodwin in Anti-Rad Field - Change Environment?
If radiation is an environmental effect, then Change Environment ought to be able to fix it.
By analogy, Change Environment can reduce or increase the local temperature, but that does nothing at all against attacks with heat or cold as special effects (unless they are specifically using increasing or decreasing the environmental temperature as SFX). So I'd say that even if the environmental radiation causes damage (analogously to extreme environmental cold or heat) Change Environment could change it.
