  1. Re: Can this Detect even work? It also depends on the special effects of the detector. If he has some sort of "object reading" or "retrocognition," I'd think the act of the teleporter memorizing the spot would be significant enough to be detected.
  2. Re: [YGO] Seto Kaiba You do have that "+3 to any game-related skill" tucked away in there. 16- isn't a bad roll for most things.
  3. Re: Continuous Attack Faster than Character's Speed? Two things come to mind: 1.) Buy a computer to do the attack. 2.) Use Gradual Effect. The computer seems expensive, and I'm not sure how well you can 'tweak' Gradual Effect to fit exactly what you want.
  4. Re: how to get invisibility to clairsentience I thought you could buy invisibility specifically for clairsentience. I even remember reading that you needed to buy it separately for clairsentience, precognition, and postcognition. I can't remember where, though.
  5. Re: Question on Adjustment Powers vs. Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but isn't the second one twice as effective as the first, i.e., it drains 2d6 from all three characteristics, and not just 1d6?
  6. Re: THE ULTIMATE METAMORPH -- What Do *You* Want To See? I'd like to see a bit on 'many-into-one' characters, where several characters combine into one: how to write them up, and how to work with them in a game. It probably doesn't need to be a big section.

    Modern Gods

Re: Modern Gods The Time Being. It's amazing how often people do things for it.
  8. Re: Anime Champions? I think he meant Mink from Cyber Idol Mink by Megumi Tachikawa. Of course' date=' you wouldn't buy [i']Mink[/i] just to do a character sheet any more than you would buy Dragon Half just to do a character sheet. I'm not quite sure what PhantomGM6101 is looking for. If he's looking to design characters, then anime characters aren't really any more difficult to design than any other characters. (Heck, I even did one.) If you're looking for inspiration for things like play style and character style, to get you in the right "mood" for anime gaming, then frankly I'd suggest looking at BESM (since a new edition is coming out, you might be able to pick up an old one for cheap). Not for the game, necessarily[1], but for the anime-play-style advice. I seem to remember that it had some good sections on that, and gaming advice can always be ported to another game. [1] Not that it's a bad game or anything.
  9. Re: Anime Champions? I suspect you'll see a flood of responses shortly (or, maybe shortly once Monday comes around). To start you off with some Hero Games published stuff: "Anime and the Hero System" is an article in Digital Hero #8 Ninja Hero covers some anime and video game topics Kazei 5 (PDF from 4th edition, but still available in the company store) is cyberpunk with anime flavoring Robot Warriors and Robot Gladiators (4th edition supplements; one or both may have PDF versions in the store) help with some types of anime The Ultimate Vehicle (5th edition) also has some stuff regarding anime-type robots and vehicles
  10. Re: Teen Champion Cover! Well, I wasn't thinking about buying the book before, but the cover looks fun enough that I just might buy it now. So, it's a good cover, even if it wasn't "work-intensive" (or what have you).
  11. Re: Favortie NINJA HERO NPC? Not to mention "Sol Badguy." There is a character named "Lady Meow (or Myao) of the Iron Cat Fist" in the anime Carried by the Wind: Tsukikage Ran, so the name didn't seem that strange to me.
  12. Re: Build your own "New Avengers"! Killed? He wasn't killed; he was just shattered in to a bajillion pieces. He'll be back when some writer wants him to be.
  13. Re: Build your own "New Avengers"! How about: Captain America Hawkeye Giant Man Wasp Captain Marvel Yellowjacket Songbird Wait, they did that one already ...
  14. Re: Bigger Animals - To use realistic STR or not Or, you need to change the internal structure so they can hold themselves up, or something. After all, they can make pretty big human-proportioned statues.
  15. Re: Fantasy Hero / Star Hero .... SpellJammer? RPG Now (http://www.rpgnow.com) has PDFs of a lot of the SpellJammer stuff for about $5 each. You might find it useful.
  16. Re: Thought Experiment 1: Azumanga Champions Judging from one sequence, Tomo needs a Mimic Pool to gain other people's abilities. (Of course, if your abilities are actually weaknesses ...) Chiyo should have a hefty PRE bonus, only for 'cuteness' PRE attacks. And Sasaki a Vulnerability to said attacks.
  17. Re: Multiple Attacks Maybe it's just a contest of PS: Kicking Stuff. (I mean, it isn't actually combat or anything.)
  18. Re: Off-Topic Question - DC Heroes Hie thee over to "General Roleplaying;" there's already a thread on it.

    Die Faust

Re: Die Faust [is this a double-post?] According to my German dictionary, "Faust" means "fist" (hence, the gauntlet?), and is indeed feminine. When used as the subject of a sentence, it would be "die Faust." How/if it would change if made into a superhero name, I do not know.
  20. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Sorry, no can do. You'll just have to draw it and show us.
  21. Re: 5er Invisibility pwoblem. Technically, I suppose, you don't emit (internally generate) light, you just reflect it. So, if you're invisible, you fail to reflect the light. On the other hand, when you speak, you do actually emit sound. So, the invisibility doesn't hide it; you'd need darkness. I think that's the theory, anyway. If you're carrying a flashlight while invisible, is the beam of light invisible? Or, on the gestures/incantations bit, gestures are about being able to move, not being able to be seen. Incantations are (I suppose) about being able to be heard, not being able to physically move to make words. I guess.
  22. Re: Computer Programming Except that Computer Operation shouldn't let you do the interesting things that fictional heroes get to do, like hack into secure systems. That would require Computer Programming (or, possibly Systems Operation). I'd assume that 'everyday' use of the computer would be part of your standard PS, and that using a user-friendly program wouldn't cost you any more points than using a microwave or air conditioning.
