  1. Re: Hero All-Stars 2008 I think it would be more fun if the PCs are all Bond himself! Turns out, "James Bond" is sort of an ageny code name for their top spy. Over the years, several agents have held this role. There's the gruff Scotsman, the smug Brit, the street-smart American, etc.
  2. Re: Space 1999 aka Space 2099 You could also tie in a bit of "Lost" with the campaign, and these interstellar castaways find that the asteroid they're on has been inhabited before. They find secret tunnels, artifcats, runes, etc. That would also help explain why they keep going to interesting spots -- the asteroid was designed for travel, and may even have a specified route.
  3. Re: Fromage? I'd be okay with selling back END. The real cheese would be trying to put a Lim on REC that it only recovers STUN. One thing, though, that the character would be giving up in my campaign, though, is the ability to Push. I don't allow that from END Reserves.
  4. Re: Giant Brick Tricks Something I often stipulate is: Running +X"; Does Not Work For Move-Throughs on Smaller Targets (-1/4) Otherwise, it gets way too overkill.
  5. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Obviously, an L would stand for Lectricity.
  6. Re: Jokes He had a whole day to change suits? When I tell the joke, he only has a few minutes before the viewing starts.
  7. Re: Hero Goes to the Movies (or TV Shows)! Actually, Chuck's ability seems like a great use of No Conscious Control.
  8. Re: NYC GA Playtest finally under way I like the Jomes Bondian "Dr. Know."
  9. Re: NYC GA Playtest finally under way If I was Guardian Angel's character, I'd immediately get to work on convincing Justice that *I* was the one who sent him back to the world of the living, at the behest of The Holy One.
  10. Re: "Neat" Pictures Not to mention his superhighway mileage.
  11. Re: Brick skill levels Punch, Grab, Haymaker.
  12. Re: Would this be simpler? Maybe so, if it costs the same to make 20 DEF Hardened as it does 40 DEF Hardened.
  13. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Nice coloration!
  14. Re: I am so, so old... If the future scientists knew the risk of memory wipe, maybe they sent along an instruction book of future events. Sort of a Gray's Sports Almanac that predicts major news events that the time travelers are supposed to make better. Once some of the other characters on the ship find out about it, that would give them reasons to continue to interact with the PCs -- they're all struggling to get access to the future's past to gain power now.
  15. Re: Gestalt Now Available In Color The book is now also available in black & white from BlackWyrm's site (via Lulu POD), for those without a local game shop.
  16. Re: The More I Kill, The Stronger I Get! I did a similar villain that actually stole superhuman body parts and "attached" them to himself. I wrote him up for the Clobberin' Times Online #4 at http://www.forteuniverse.com/cto/images/CTO4Piecekeeper.pdf
  17. Re: Character: Zombie Herve Villechaize So that's why Ricardo Montalbahn came up with the idea of an island where fantasies can be bought by vacationers. He's a necromancer who preys on the dreams of others in order to summon his army of undead. "From Hell's heart, I stab at thy fantasy."
  18. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. "Meet me in Ten Forward." "That's what SHE said!"
  19. Re: Evil Defender... Digital Hero #38 includes evil versions of all the Champions.
  20. Re: [Review] Gestalt: The Hero Within (1) The PDF art is in color. (2) The layout is not like Algernon, and is more like a DOJ HERO layout for characters.
  21. Re: Wold Newton Scenario: Fonzie and Batman That ape suit originally came from Jim Belushi's character, and Bleushi and Keaton were costars in "Working Stiffs" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078711/ (trivia - Keaton's first TV "role" was as the stagehand that moved Mr. Roger's trolley)
  22. Re: Wold Newton Scenario: Fonzie and Batman Some pimping competition came from Elwood Blues with a mechanical hand (possibly stolen from Ash) after he had lost his fortunes to Billy Valentine. Clarence Beaks, however, was dispatched in a gorilla suit by Bruce Wayne Jr's former clock-hanging partner.
  23. Re: Shades of Black Start early with making Talisman a memorable PC enemy. I used her for months before I ran SOB.
  24. Re: Gestalt of the Week The newest entry is up. This time, it's not a character, but a section of secret societies in the Gestalt world.
  25. Re: Schtick Skill: That Thing You Do There's a Power skill that can be used for nifty poewr tricks, like sharpshooting, brick tricks, and energy expertise. I see no problem in using it for skills, in addition to powers. If Caotain CSI has spent 30 points in Deduction, Criminology, KSes, and SSes, go ahead and buy him Power Skill (CSI) for use in those rare cases where one of his normal skills doesn't cover the situation at hand.
