I haven't posted for a couple of days, so I will rush through my last four picks today.

---
one Spaceship or Aircraft

Barbarella's own ship, naturally.

one Land Vehicle.

A hoverboard (Back to the Future)

---

Still to come, after I make a cup of tea:

  • one home base, which must be anchored to the ground or space-time or something.  While it might be in a fixed orbit, or be disassembled and reassembled elsewhere, such "motility" is highly restricted.  As an example: Deep Space 9 is a base, but Enterprise NCC-1701 is a starship.

  • one melee personal weapon

"They're not very fashionable, are they?"
"No, but they are functional."

  • one melee personal weapon

Dagger Shoes (James Bond)
---
Finally:

one home base

Earth, in a universe that has been pacified for centuries.

---

And that's it.

I've tried for choices that could, however absurdly, fit into Barbarella's broad esthetic. I don't think I've been entirely successful, but near enough.

In retrospect, Hymie might have been a better choice than Kryten, but I didn't think of him.

Anyway, LOVE.

Spaceship: HEART OF GOLD ('HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY' FRANCHISE)

mEfZYh7NLfeB6VXjCYJr7d-970-80.jpg

Douglas Adams franchise is renowned for its quirky sense of humour, so it makes sense that the main craft of it's protagonists would be equally eccentric. This is a fun, zippy ship, thanks to its unique use of the Infinite Improbability Drive — an engine that provides for near-instantaneous travel with "tedious mucking about in hyperspace," according to the Hitchhiker's fan wiki. The designers gave a lot of attention to creature comforts, even including doors who say (in the books) how glad they are to help you. While the shape of the ship varies between the book, movie and TV series, a common theme in all three media is how white and clean the ship looks.

PS: BB-8 is powered by an Infinite Improbability Drive as well. 😃

( I did check the thread and appeared that it is unpicked, so I’m taking it. )

As far as I can tell, I'm missing only a Home Base and a Land Vehicle. So here goes:

Land Vehicle: Argo, as attached to USS Enterprise-E

Home Base: Tomorrowland, as featured in the 2015 film of the same name

I'll have to ponder a bit for a title.

Last pick...

Whist in the Rock of Eternity, Bruce wanders over to the library. He scans the books in the rare books section: The Amelia Sequence, The Book of Omens, Eternity Book, Book of Oa, The Destiny Book (missing, presumed stolen), Darkhold (missing, ditto), Necronomicon (missing, ditto), Nether Scrolls (presumed missing).

He grabs the last book, The Book of the Vishanti.

Title: Sheriff Bruce Wayne came here to arrest crims, fight injustice, and hug his parents...and he's all out of parents.

Suggested title: Tomorrowland is a new day.
