Re: Superhero Images

The tutorial that Blue posted above is most excellent to get you started, I would start there. I can fill in the "Huh?"s when they come up if you would like. I'll try to set aside a some time to do a full step-by-step if there is enough interest. It would be strictly Photoshop though, and version 7.0 to boot.

Is that on this thread?

Re: Superhero Images

Here's a group pic for the game I've been GMing for several years. I can't draw, so forgive the fact that the heroes are Frankensteined together from other sources and recolored...but I think they're pretty cool anyhoo.

Lotta love went into the pics and the campaign.

Actually I like them. I can't even recolor without it looking like my two year olds grabbed the crayons.

Any chance of these PCS getting posted on a thread? I would love to see Vindicator and Photon's writeups.

Re: Superhero Images

Thanks plenty much, Hawksmoor...

Vindicator's the old-timer in the campaign...been a PC since 'bout '90, I think. I'll post 'em tonight somewhere. Maybe post each guy here individually.

By the way, how do I make a freakin thumbnail?

Re: Superhero Images

Can you just use the character editor to create looks or do you have to play the character?

Well it's part of the character creation process, but you can back out of commiting the character to the game at any time. Also you 8 slots per server and can delet a character at any time you log onto a server.

Re: Superhero Images

Answer hazy on thumbnails. Gif's don't seem to auto thumbnail. JPG & PNG's do. Though I think that a gif thumbnail is possible. I'm going to try something.

attachment.php?attachmentid=4805

Ok, I can do the inline with gifs doing the <img src=http://www.herogames.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=4805> trick. if the image is small enough it does show up anyway as well.

BTW, I like the group shot as well. This is one of my favorite threads because of all the cool ideas that it generates for me.

Great image. I'd love to see it larger.

So you can have up to 8 characters to choose from each time you play? That's cool

Re: Superhero Images

Here's one of my early characters, Justice Trooper (1st pic circa '85). He is a martial artist with light body armor, jet pack and tactical helmet. He lost his guns when I reworked him for 4th ed, and drew him up on the PC (2nd pic, 1/90). Hope this works, first time posting art.

Re: Superhero Images

A few characters I've actually tried to draw over time using templates.

First one is All American II

He absorbs Kinetic (Physical) Energy and redirects it.

PS: Sorry about that, Didn't realize it would be so grainy.

Ok...think I'll post each character individually at better resolution.

Vindicator...super-soldier martial artist with super-reflexes and a gadget multipower full of the paraphernalia of fallen enemies and allies...
