It's subtractive sculpting rather than the additive sculpting of 3D printing. Back when I worked at the archery plant, we called this CNC (computer numeric control) machining. It's amazing what you can make with this process--and that's just for what I rememer from almost 20 years ago. I had no idea you could use the system on ice, though. Neat!
