I need an "S"

Re: I need an "S"

I'm designing a power armor character based off the word AEGIS. It's powered by a small singularity. So far I have:

Armored

Exoskeleton

Gravitic

Induction

S??

Any suggestions? :)

Ummm.... How.... about... Umm... Singularity?

I mean it does come from Singular which can mean outstanding or exceptional.

And the suit is powered by that.

Re: I need an "S"

Gotta be 'System.' Or 'Sentnel.'

'Suit'? Suit dosn't go in the acronym. EVER. It's just not done. :)

Anyway, from the top . . .

A: Attack, Assault, Advanced, Air, Aquatic, Atomic (Can it fly?)

E: Exoskeleton, Evasion, Energy, Enviornment

G: Ground, Geo, Gravity

I: Intercept(or), Intelligence, Interlock(ed), Interlaced

S: System, Sentinel

I'd go with Assualt/Evasion Ground Interception System, myself. But what does the suit actually do? And do you want AEGIS to be the suit itself, or its power source?

And is there a word for water or ocean that starts with an E?

---

Or you could go the entire campaign without explaining what it stands for. It worked for Armored Trooper V.O.T.O.M.S. . . .

Edit: Forgot 'Enviornment,' dammit.

Re: I need an "S"

If I may, I would make one other change:

Armored

Exoskeletal

Gravitic

Induction

System

Exoskeleton is a noun stuck between two adjectives, and as such creates the impression that you are referring to a the gravitic induction system that is part of an armored exoskeleton, rather than the suit as a whole.

Otherwise, system is very good.

I like this. Yes, suit doesn't work because I'll probably be referring to it as the AEGIS battlesuit. I use Gravitic Induction because it is powered by a small artificial singularity that's held in an energy matrix that taps into the power derived from the gravity well.

Now, even though I thought that up I have no idea what it means but it sounds cool, doesn't it? :D
