Michael Hopcroft
Since we've done the Seemingly Strange Thigns to Model thread, how about seeing about people coming up with statts for Seemingly Strange Characters? Recent commercials inspired these: The Creepy German Engineer Guy: A gifted engineer, he has a habit of luring people who posess vehicles and similar equipment that he finds obnoxious into his lair, where he will then destroy the vehicle or equipment in the most cleverly humiliating way he can imagine, while the owner is usually either restrained or too baffled to inteferere effectively. He has no interest in harming people, and actually thinks he is doing his victims a favor by ridding them of gaudy or inefficient technology. The Cute Fairy: This foot-tall pixie has the power to transform anything into a "cuter" version of itself. Unfortunately, she has little sense of or concern for the practical function of objects; she has been known to turn a skyscraper into gingerbread without regard for the structural engineering problems that would result. She has also shown the ability to change a dog into another breed of dog, and to alter the appearance and personality of humans. She believes she is change the world for the nicer, but she tends to be a bit of a pest. Mr. Persuasive: when this man is in personal contact with anyone, he can make them agree with his point of view. They will continute to agree, and act on that agreement, after he leaves. However, this only works by personal contact, so he can't go on national television and sway the entire country at one go.
Michael Hopcroft
Re: Seeimgly Strange Characters to Model A few more examples: The Rain Bunny: Because of a combination of genetic engineering (giving rabbits, who do not possess vocal chords normally, the abillity to sing) and some odd compulsion or programming, this white rabbit will continually emit an odd chant that, if allowed to continue long enough, wil summon an intense rain into the area in which it resides. The only way to shut the damn thing up is to kill it.

Part of a Super Team including a tiny man who safely sails a tiny boat through sewers and pipes (and can make normal humans or his team mates small enough to join him), a size changing brick who specializes in absorbing liquids and dresses like a lumberjack, and a number of tiny duplicating bubble-things that eat organic filth. Cancer
Re: Seeimgly Strange Characters to Model Deathringer has an uncanny psychic sense which lets him know when someone has been cold-called by a telemarketer. Additionally, he can tracelessly hijack the connection from the target phone to his own, leaving the original callee confusedly holding a dead line. Once he has the connection secure, he has a wierd, atonal warbling song that he sings, which pours acoutiscoelectropsionic poison down the line, killing in less than a second any living human telemarketer on the calling end. Oddly, he can't do this if he places the call; the power only functions on someone who placed the call themselves. This is the real reason most cold calls nowadays are made by machine, not humans. Vondy
Re: Seeimgly Strange Characters to Model Captain Clean and the Clean Team - Sexy bald male superhero.... We had a brick called the Olympian whose player's description sounded suspiciously like Mr. Clean (unintentional). No one ever called him the Olympian... Curufea
Re: Seeimgly Strange Characters to Model I had attempted a character for a Mystery Men-style game a while ago. But I couldn't write up his powers correctly - it was just too difficult. If you can, I would really like to see how it was done- Retroactive Man: Dressing in 60's flares. He has the power to delay effect from cause. He can fire a gun, and not have the bullet hit for days. He often checks into a hospital immediately after a combat, where he suddenly succumbs to all the damage he has taken. The most unnerving aspect is his entering a room, and then the door opening anc closing behind him.
Michael Hopcroft
Re: Seeimgly Strange Characters to Model Ape House Inc.: You are the one human middle-manager in a business operated entirely by chimpanzees. You hate your job, but are trapped in it and cannot find other work. The company is run exuberantly but not particularly well, largely because the apes are not capable of using human language (although they communicate with each other just fine and can read English when they want to).
