I didn't post it, because I wasn't sure when you were going to use it in game to show the table... I wanted to keep it a surprise for them. Then after the weekend, I simply forgot.

 

 

 

A couple of fantasy pics. I don't know why, even though I'm known more for my supers in the industry, I love doing the fantasy illustration stuff.

 

The second is the underpainting... but I thought others might get a kick out of seeing the foudnation underneath the painting... the actual oil painting is going to take some time to do and to dry. And the magical energies near her hand are so intricate in my head, I just know it is easier to paint the wall and then paint on top of that, instead of trying to paint around a complicated magic circle.

 

The first one up is digital over pencil.

Meant to do this a LONG time ago... like right after Storn drew this. But, you know how it is. One things leads to another... you get thrown back in time to fight Nazis.. etc. Anyway, I've long since lost The Tornado's original character sheet that I was using when I commissioned this, but I think I've more or less rebuilt him here as he was at 350 (he's somewhere around the 460-470 range now.)

 

I'd post the sheet in the boards format, but I can't get it to show up w/out all the html code (at least I assume it's html. If I knew for sure it was html, I'd probably know enough to know how to get it to post. ;) ) Anyway.. pointers welcome.

Storn, shortly (meaning "in one, maybe two weeks), I'll be starting a series of commissions which, in the end, will total 26 individual pieces, purchased one and two at a time. Most are fully fledged individual characters, with fully realized descriptions and personalities and lots of info for you to work from. The last four of them, however, are "generic agents", for whom I only want a unified look but have no "vision" of at this time.

 

Would you accept a commission in which the description was "A high-tech agent along the lines of SHIELD and VIPER, specializing in military operations" or "A high-tech agent along the lines of SHIELD and VIPER, specializing in advanced research projects" and so on? I mean, its vague, but so is my perception of the agents and I'd be willing to accept anything you could come up with...

Tres cool indeed. He reminds me of the Alan Scott Green Lantern (still my favorite).

 

Alan Scott was actually submitted to me with the commission request, a version done by the incomparable A. Ross. So, the similarity is totally intentional.

 

I love the "fade to light" boots.

 

Me too, it is a trick that I've used a couple of times to indicate 'cosmic' in a sorta visual shorthand... Death Tribble's really powerful asian woman comes to mind, as well as RDU's very own Locke. I thought it fit with the concept of Cosmic alien sorceror supremo that Aegis is... although he is supposed to be blond and look human, no sense of the alien heritage from the visual.

I think RDU Neil and Greymankle (two GMs in our group) will be thrilled. And fighting over who gets to use the visuals first. . They loves the espionage, special forces stuff they's do.

 

Of course I would accept a commission doing that. Doing characters with pouches, guns and uniforms... gee... I never do that (re: sarcasm). But seriously, doing an entire outfit sounds really cool. Especially "advanced research projects" and depicting positions that we don't get to see very often... and making them similar but unified in theme. Sounds like fun.

The four distinct divisions of agents for this organization are commercial infiltrators (banks, businesses, law firms, etc), soldiers, intelligence agents, and researchers.
