cturnitsa
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States It was a good game, but Damn. I mean, at its height, a turn was over two hours long. Next time, fewer replicants and more insects. Always a good thing. I mean, not as good as intelligent apes with laser cannons, but it is close. Haven Walkur
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States I love the Family Portrait of the US 50. Very intricate work, with lots of fitting and sizing of the images -- I'm impressed, and I'm delighted you honoured the characters with your efforts! (And for the record, I'm still really tickled to have been part of this project.) Aha, the Board Gods *will* permit me to lavish my Tribble-touched Rep upon you for your hard work, enthusiasm and skill -- so, REPPED! Giants insects are nasty - I want something I can successfully beat up on at least once in while. The 50 are a neat bunch (although only a subsection were present). Personally, I'd like to have seen Wind-Talker in play - but beggars (and volunteer players) can't be choosers.

Pariah
Re: Demographics Kind of brick-heavy. What states are still un-heroed? It fits the medium, though. Half the published characters in comics have some level of super strength.
Certified
Re: Demographics Kind of brick-heavy. What states are still un-heroed? This actually looks like a reasonable mix of characters when compared to source materials. One thing that I think is really amusing and also true to comics is the break down race and gender. Not that I'm trying to make any large statement on this one but I think it's surprisingly close to what one would find on the racks as it were. Split Decision
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States I live in Massachusetts, near Rhode Island. The New England sector superheroes are all very good, in terms of character and their representative nature. Nutmegger (CT) is fun. I'd like to see more supervillains. Perhaps some supervillains can represent states too?
Egyptoid
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States All fifty states have a picture and at least a one-liner concept. Many states have full blown character sheets done. These characters are not done: So.Dak, Mich, Wisc, Iowa, Kans in the Mid-west. Neva, Oreg, Idaho, Wash.State, and Okla. in the West. Lous, Miss, So.Car, and Georgia in the South. oho and Pennsylvania in the North. Indiana and Nebraska are not fully finished either. This is the Index page HERE If the name has no link, there is no character sheet. PLUS: if there's any hero done by Egyptoid, feel free to submit a better idea. My fingerprints are all over this crime scene. thanks for showing interest.

Perhaps some supervillains can represent states too? people gave a lot of great ideas, thankfully avoiding stereotypes and cheap laughs or cliches. there was a Dark Champions equivalent page: but it appears to be soggy. Anyways, on the villain idea... A) would they organize? like the Injustice Gang? there is a small agency behind the USA5O, there is a govt. sponsor. Let's finish the heroes first! (drop of sweat) C) But it is an interesting idea. Start a separate Thread, see who bites....

FenrisUlf
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States I still like Rushmore, but what is this "the God" you keep referring to on his character page? The Spirit of the Mountain?
Egyptoid
Rushmore "god" is the wording of the FH limitation. should be the Land of course. Split Decision
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States Thematically, he's great. Picking three nits: Mental Defense: Why so much? Maybe split that between MD and Pow Def Where in the concept can you justify an 8 SPD? What did I miss? Some native American languages have no written component, but it shows him with literacy. Check Wiki to see which ones that literacy applies to for the GM's sake, and make a note about it on the character sheet.
BobGreenwade
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States I finally got done with writing up the Eco-Ranger. There are probably a few holes here and there, but this should be serviceable.
Egyptoid
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States The deal with Rushmore was that he was "as adjective as 4 men". Plus I wanted him to be reasonably immune to mental things, since he has the will power of 4 of the legendary statesmen... Speed is pretty much the only offensive power he's got, so Rushmore is the classic golden age speedster, plus its a pun on Rush. And Eco Ranger is great! thorough background, logical powers, makes some of the ones I've written up look very tired.
