BobGreenwade
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States I actually have, in the past, used a character named Kittyhawk -- she started as a villain, who later reformed and became an NPC hero. I've even used her in my graphic novel script/story. She's actually from Scotland, though; she gets her name from the fact that, early in her mother's pregnancy, she was infused with genes from a Cooper's hawk and a panther. (For reasons unexplained other than to satisfy my own perverse sense of aesthetics, her skin is milky white, but her feathers, fur, and hair are cobalt blue.) freakboy6117
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States the inspiration for the twins comes from me spending a rather wet and miserable sunday morning in both Kansas city Kansas and Kansas city Missouri whilst gray-hounding around the states after uni. seemed like a perfect place for two twins to set up and still be in separate states(being English the whole state rivalry thing escaped me). if it helps they are both from Kansas and flipped a Kansas quarter to decide who got to stay but they where already well regarded in both states for disaster relief (those petty rivalry go away when someone comes and helps you dig your neighbour out of the ruins of their house one would think.) Egyptoid
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States We have our 50 decided, thanks again, it will be posted soon. and then we can chat about STAGE 2 of this colossal thread. BUT: if any one has any more submissions, or is toiling away slowly on a mastapeace, don't hesitate to submit. Don't think of it as a deadline, more of an undeadline, cause it still moves at night, like Captain Albemarle. ====================================================== Not to brag, because its a definite good group effort, but when you sort the threads in Champions by # Views, 50 Heroes USA is 15th, which is awesome for such a young thread. Well we have a quorum on the Senate floor, I have enough votes, and I did not vote, but I would have broken a tie, but there was none. Hopefully I read back through every voting post in this thread correctly. the Winners are: NC: Kitty Hawk by a landslide with 7 votes, Pirate 1, and Tarheel 2 votes. MO: Gateway Girl wins by a hemline with 4 votes, Turbo 3, and Bagnell CF. only 2 IL: Chicago Chief 3 votes SuperC 2, CaptainI 2 But Remember, just because your favorite "lost" this vote, doesnt mean squat, they will live on in our hearts and on the Historical Page! 50 STATES _ _ _ _ _ _ _ HISTORY
Egyptoid
Heroes from All Fifty States; Stage Two I'm going on Vacation for a week, probably can't post much then. but your homework, for stage two of this project: this is open to anyone Start some basic stats for these people. Notice I did not say "entire finished character sheets" Just some basics: Secret Id name, if any; make it clever. top 3 or 4 Disads, they are the most interesting part of the character sheet. and this is for 4-Color Champions, or DC:The Animated style, not Dark Champions top 3 or 4 Stats: are they a Dex-monster, Tough, or Presence filled five or six skills, not just the everyman stuff, and include what they do/did for a living. top 5 or 6 Powers: Interesting Main powers, not just armor and energy blast. 5 or 6 lines of back-story and origin. And again, this is open to anyone, you don't have to do the info for the art you submitted, necessarily. plus especially, people may have interesting ideas that are sparked from looking at the artwork on the page this is open to anyone, submit ideas and stories. if two people put up good theories on why Miss Wyoming has a Buffalo based Elemental Control, we'll vote on whose the best. Welcome to Stage Two, thanks for all the help, and all the rep , and all the interesting input so far. It has been, and will be a pleasure being your host. now go listen to your muses, and please write in . . .

Basil
Re: Heroes from All Fifty States I've already covered most of this for Evergreen: Secret Id name' date=' if any; make it clever.[/quote'] No secret ID; she looks like she's made of wood, so how could there be one? top 3 or 4 Disads' date=' they are the most interesting part of the character sheet.[/quote'] Subject to Orders (I'd think that's automatic with being an Official Hero), Public ID, Protects the Environment. top 3 or 4 Stats: are they a Dex-monster' date=' Tough, or Presence filled[/quote'] STR is pretty high, DEX and SPD moderately high. top 5 or 6 Powers: Interesting Main powers' date=' not just armor and energy blast.[/quote'] As mentioned, TK with a curious SFX, EB that looks like electricity but the effect is dissimilar. 5 or 6 lines of back-story and origin. Done already. And again, this is open to anyone, you don't have to do the info for the art you submitted, necessarily. However, I'd think it only polite to ask the person who did the art before posting one's own version of the character.

Jude's new form was a monstrous blend of fish and human, strong, tough and practically immortal, with huge unblinking eyes and trailing whiskers that would eventually lead him to nickname himself "The Catfish," and later, "The Bagnell Catfish." Nightvision, Spatial Awareness Goggles, OIF Empathy, 20 Dice, mutation Telepathy, 12 dice, versus Avian/Alien Clinging, 40 STR, OIF suit. Basic Back-Story and Origin - Apparently born to Wealthy Parents, the boy was raised in a boarding Orphanage, with all his expense paid, and a trust fund that paid off when he was 18. He was dropped off at the orphanage by an aged second cousin, but that person died before Gary was ever old enough to talk to him. The cousin muttered something about the child being raised by bald eagles in the Wyandotte state forest, but this was dismissed by the nurses as crazy talk. However, the lad grew to have an affinity with avians, so who knows. The closest friend and mentor Gary had at the school nearby the orphanage (IUM Childrens Home) was the science teacher, Mr. Broaderick. Gary keeps to this day a model he built of the B58 Hustler from Grissom Air Force base, which he built when he was seven. At puberty his mental prowess accelerated, and he found his mental powers and comprehension of machines growing. He used his money to fund his way through IU Journalism school, keeping his powers a secret. He and Doc Broaderick worked on his super suit in secret. Someday he hopes the truth about his parentage will be revealed, how his mom gave him up at childbirth, the eagle story is false, and probably that his real father was spying on the Russians in 82.
