GestaltBennie
I'm going to be running a couple of RP events on Champions Online based on the premise of the classic module "the Great Supervillain Contest", where a villain adopts the identity of the "Crimson Clas" to get villains to go on seeming random rampages across Millennium City (using the Alert system for these) as part of a competition. The Crimson Claw will actually be another villain in disguise. What I'm going to ask you folks is: Who is his or her actual identity and why is he or she doing this? It has to be a villain present in 6e, but go to town!
death tribble
Re: Gsvc 2012 Menton. He's free at the moment. He's trsting response times of the authorities, the capabilities of heroes and how good villains are. It would seem to be a better fit than the Shadow Destroyer for me. Plus he has the power to back himself up.
Christopher
Re: Gsvc 2012 Talisman. Stirring up enough trouble, so nobody notices her most recent plan to kill/replace/steal the power of Witchcraft.
Epiphanis
Re: Gsvc 2012 The Crimson Claw is Mirage, who likes making superhumans jump through her hoops (the villains for the nonexistent/worthless prize; the heroes being misdirected to track down the villains). She's being funded by the IHA, and the crime scenes Mirage picks are prepared with fake "collateral damage" victims to demonstrate how dangerous to the public super battles are. Lord Liaden
Re: Gsvc 2012 Franklin Stone. The targets he's chosen include financial rivals he wishes to weaken to open them to hostile takeover, and/or politicians or groups blocking a major new project he wants to go ahead. Steve Long
Re: Gsvc 2012 Utility. He loves making the contestants look like fools, and all the while he's studying them for weaknesses.
Lawnmower Boy
Re: Gsvc 2012 Professor Paradigm. His plan is insane and inscrutable, and the Paradigm Pirates have some great disruptive influences who can get in the middle of the scenarios, if you have the time and energy to set that up. Well, mainly Avant Garde in his goofy outfits, but what a way to demonstrate the flexibility of the character design system.

Balabanto
Re: Gsvc 2012 The Doctor Yin Wu idea has some merit, if only so he can say the words "You have uncovahhed my prans! Now you know that the Crimson Craw is really Dok-tah Yin Wu."
RexMundi
Re: Gsvc 2012 But if it's going to be Dr. Yin Wu.... Then I would be forced to run The Golden Koi for that event because it is the Koi's sacred Duty to prevent the abuse of Eng-rish.... ~Rex
wcw43921
Re: Gsvc 2012 Perhaps Istvatha V'han or one of her minions could be the Crimson Claw. Whichever heroes and villains survive/do best in the Challenge are offered favored status in her Empire, provided they help her to conquer Earth. This could be a good way to introduce her to the campaign, if you haven't already.
Sketchpad
Re: Gsvc 2012 Mechanon. Similar to what Ultron did in the Marvel Universe when forming a Masters of Evil, Mechanon is looking for some disposable "fleshbags" to distract the heroes from his latest ploy.
