(Wolverine being Marvel's) He's a stain on Comics. Given that he beats Darkseid one issue and then has trouble battling A WOMAN WITH A HOLE IN HER HEAD in his own comics...yeah. He's a wonderful character that hast been destroyed by his own popularity and the sheer amount of editorial garbage they have to use to make him relevant. But still...good luck with that. You know what, I agree with you. We share the same personal feelings towards the character; his popularity has inflated his abilities & achievements--which as you mention--creates inconsistencies. So why draft him? Because in part he is an icon of comics. To use a cliché: "he's Batman". Obviously, I hope his massive popularity (and those stories) works for him not against him. The second major reason is that it helps give my team a Avengers-JLA vibe which I lucked into. With Doom being competent with magic, he fills the supermage spot on the team which I find funny. So, I still hope you'll vote for him, but understand if you don't. (The logical reason for Batman beating Darkseid one moment and then having trouble battling a woman with a hole in her head, is after beating Darkseid he was so happy he went out partying and got massively intoxicated. A drunk Batman is a incompetent--but hilarious(!)--Batman, which explains his trouble with the woman with a hole in her head. Hey Commish, do I win a No-Prize?)
