Fork in one hand, visibly holding bowl in the other; I assume he was steering with his knees, since his mouth was also engaged in the salad-eating. I immediately asked, "Should I veer suddenly into the other lane and slam on my brakes?" Hilarity ensued, though son (who was sitting in the back seat) loudly pronounced, "NO."
