Re: Green Lantern Remember in DCHeroes,the power ring's Omni-Power (the DC Heroes equivalent to a VPP) was Half Linked to the character's WILL.What this meant was that the characters APs* in Omni-Power were equal to half the Green lantern's APs of WILL.Thus all the Green Lanterns had a VPP,some of them just didn't find them cost-effective. (*In this instance APs refers to DCHeroes Attribute Points,not the Hero Systems Active points.)

Re: Kumiho the Korean Kitsune Kitsune appear inGURPS Shapeshifters as powerful spellcasters,who prefer to cast illusions.(Blatant plug here for a GURPS book that is selling so badly,Bob Schroeck still hasn't made back his advance yet! And it's not a BAD book at all! I guess even GURPS players get sick of buying more and more books...) (And incidentally,kitsune are what GURPS calls 'weres" : beings who can change into two or more forms,but have a strictly limited repertoire.In the kitsune's case,they have a human form,a fox-headed human form,and a fox form.)

Re: Green Lantern Try to get a secondhand copy of The Green Lantern Corps Sourcebook for DC Heroes.While it is designed for the DC Heroes game system,it is packed full of information about the Green Lanterns,and there are plenty of DCHeroes to Hero System conversions out there.It's biggest drawback is that it's many years out of date.

Re: Linked vs. Compound Powers - educate the new guy As has been stated before,one of the reasons Compound powers were invented was to enable them to be used in the same slot in a Power Framework.Thus you could have a brick with STR and Leaping in the same slot in the character's Muscle Powers Elemental Control,thus enabling the brick to add the extra Leaping from that STR to the brick's base Leaping distance,which wouldn't be possible if the STR & Leaping weren't in different EC slots.

Re: Some suggestions for FRED revised. I also suggest that the value for extended times to recover Charges be reduced to -1/4 per time increment. Under the current rules,having an item that recovers its charges annually adds the same additional limitation value (-2) as having its Charges never Recover at all.

Re: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen question Actually,Madstone,I always thought that destroying the painting broke the spell that kept Dorian immortal.After all,in the novel,Dorian stabbing the painting with a knife was what killed him.(And remember the climax of Phantom of the Paradise where destroying the film killed both Swan & the Phantom?) Oh,and Madstone,I believe your avatar is from the anime series Hellsing-it's Alucard preparing to use the Cromwell Initiative,if I remember the anime correctly....

Re: Martial Art Manoeuver Creation Actually,having purchased both 4th Edition & 5th Edition versions of The Ultimate Martial Artist,I think that it's well worth the money just for the numerous martial art styles therein.(I've also purchased both versions of Ninja Hero as well,though the 4th Edition version (by the legendary Aaron Allston) would have been better named Martial Arts Hero).
