  2. Hey--it beats eating sand. According to the recipe, it takes 45 second to cook it in the microwave. I wonder how long it would take to cook with a lightsaber?
  3. You mean this one? Been a while since I've seen it, but it wasn't Mexican, and there was no wrestling that I remember. Just disappointing dialogue, acting, and--well, everything else.
  4. Perhaps the anthology could be a separate KickStarter campaign should the current one fail to unlock it, yes?
  5. I like that one bit about domestic and imported ginger ale. I'm guessing the imported stuff is Canada Dry?
  6. Call her Oracle. That's what I thought Barbara Gordon should have become if she ever regained the use of her.legs--make the Oracle face into a mask, and build a costume around that. Certainly something other than seemingly becoming a teenager again and taking selfies of herself on the subway. Pardon me for venting--I probably didn't help.
  7. That looks really good, but I think you'd need a bib the size of a bedsheet to keep the mess off you.
  8. I would not characterize heroes fighting heroes as lazy writing or desperation to drive up sales--I would say it's more of a tradition, going back to the Golden Age when the original Human Torch fought the Sub-Mariner in one of their earliest adventures. Usually it's because one or the other heroes has been mind-controlled, or it's the result of a gargantuan misunderstanding--like in Avengers #2, when the newly formed team faces off against--The Space Phantom-- --whose shapeshifting abilities far exceed that of the Skrulls. Taking the form of the Hulk, he attacked the other Avengers and caused all sorts of havoc, taking their forms as well, causing them to fight each other until he tried to take Thor's form, and was banished to Limbo himself-- One of the hero vs. hero stories that really made an impression on me was the DC Treasury issue Superman Vs. Wonder Woman-- Set in World War II, it has Wonder Woman determined to prevent the success of the Manhattan Project, and Superman determined to stop her. For the first time I saw a story where the heroes actually had a reason to fight each other--no mind control, and no mistakes. I did not see this again until Superman fought Batman in the last issue of Frank Miller's Dark Knight mini-series. It even happens in RPGs. I remember in Aaron Allston's Strike Force book where the team splits into two over the issue of lethal force, with one team becoming the Shadow Warriors and another remaining as Strike Force. Player vs. player conflict is always a possibility, even if your players aren't playing "murder hobos." Hope that helps.
  9. Perhaps some of the characters in this thread could be used for this project. Good mix of attributes, skills and powers. You may need to change some of the names and backgrounds--I was thinking your Defender could be called Metallic Man, for instance. Hope that helps.
  10. Dennis Hof To Run For Nevada Senate
  11. Miracle Whip alone is just fine for me. Much better than mayonnaise.
  12. Iron Boy Saves Australia Yet another brave and able champion joins the ranks of Make-A-Wish superheroes.
  13. "Hey, Poignant! The Gay Nineties called--they want their mustache back!"
  14. You're Welcome. What have you heard--are there people out there who loathe Champions and HERO?
  15. Sixth Edition. The people who posted were perfectly happy with 5th Edition. I've never heard of anyone who downright loathes Champions or HERO System altogether.
  16. So there were two commercials for Turkish Airlines in the marathon Super Bowl pre-game show on CBS right now, where the airline announced two new locations-- Gotham City and Metropolis. Bruce Wayne made an appearance for the Gotham City commercial, inviting tourists to come visit. I didn't think he ever did anything so public--then again, it's not like he has anything to hide. The ad for Metropolis has their magnificent statue of Superman on display. There's also an appearance by Lex Luthor--he seems like a nice enough guy, but he really should do something about that hair. I'm sure they'll be on Youtube or some other video site before long. Check them out for yourselves.
  17. Well, when I posted about this on another board, a couple of repliers didn't care for the fact that it was for Champions 6th Edition. It's a disappointing sentiment, but it's there. On the other hand, when I posted the news on yet another board, I got this response-- "Of all the books in my gaming wall. This was the most... Human." I count that as a vote in favor, wouldn't you? Again, it's disappointing, but not everyone is going to support this. Fortunately, not everyone has to.
  18. I was thinking Star Trek villain, myself.
  19. Perhaps "Compelled To Kill" could be a possible Complication for a serial killer. While not about serial killers, this article about mass murders could help provide some insight--for example, this paragraph-- Adam Lankford, an associate professor of criminal justice at the University of Alabama, said that in his research on mass killers who also took their own lives, he has found “a significant number of cases where they mention a desire for fame, glory or attention as a motive.” That could apply to serial killers just as easily as those who murder many people at once. And in this paragraph-- Serious mental illness, studies of mass killers suggest, is a prime driver in a minority of cases — about 20 percent, according to estimates by several experts. Far more common are distortions of personality — excesses of rage, paranoia, grandiosity, thirst for vengeance or pathological narcissism and callousness. This would indicate that Complications like Paranoid, Vengeful, and Narcissist could fit a serial killer quite well--and all could be taken, at the Very Common, Total levels. Hope that helps.
  20. Or. . .you could yell before setting off, "Oh, No! The ship is sinking! Sinking fast! Whatever are we to do?" That should get them off, for sure.
  21. Would this strike team include Commandant Savage? You're welcome to use him, if that was not clear before.
