Well the hand waving comes in when you describe gliding as a "different form of movement" which is wringing the definition pretty vigorously.

Perhaps the best way to approach this would be to make gliding a natural part of any flying, then give limitations to flight purchased as only gliding or unable to glide.  That way anyone who flies can switch on gliding at any time, accepting its drawbacks and advantages (lower END cost?). Kind of like a combat maneuver, but with movement instead.  Who knows, maybe we could come up with several kinds of movement maneuvers (better turning radius, acceleration, etc).

Technically if the PCs are not going to get their hands on this, you can hand wave it and not use a writeup for it.

If you must have a writeup, then it is a Major or Severe Transformation (person without powers to person with powers) and have it heal normally.

I wish I cared about baseball, I used to love it.  Watching baseball got me through some really tough times some years.  But MLB has made so many so bad decisions recently I just can't watch it any longer.  Shutting down nearly every single minor league team was the last straw for me.

That was one of the main driving forces behind wanting to dump the alternate damage system for KA and making it a normal damage variant: so instead of d6+1 you get 4d6.  It rolls better, feels more distinct, and lowers complexity of the game.

I think that for powers like this, Instant Change, Transfer, Surpress, etc its worth having "talent" type writeups of simple structures to buy.  You'd have to use the deconstructed rules to make variants or apply modifiers but having just Gliding as 1 point per 2m with its own rules as a meta-power would make building much easier.

As someone with a weak heart, I recommend you plenty of rest, changing of lifestyle, and looking carefully at what you eat.  Stick around, brother.  Take care of yourself if not for you then for family and friends.

Yeah that's the thing.  Nothing I have heard about the Snyder Cut makes it possible to actually release in a reasonable run time.  All the stuff people found good about it -- deeper characterization, backstories, etc, are the parts that would have to be cut in order to get to a tolerable length for the movie.  Then what's left?

I wonder if Flight, Usable As A Second Form of Movement (Gliding) would work?

Lonely middle aged men  She's not nearly as popular as they keep treating her as, and she's honestly not a very interesting character.  She's great in small bits or to play off Joker but not how we've seen in the movies so far.

That’s great! However don’t be afraid to adjust or ignore the rules if they impede game/fun.

(That advice been around since 1st Ed but it’s been taking me these last 10plus years to really embrace it!).

I only use the acel/decel rules and all those specific things in certain kinds of campaigns, because they add significant complexity and math that tends to slow things down in play.   And honestly, its almost never an issue in source material -- we're trying to simulate comics, here not make a physics simlulator.  So do what the comics do and that means 99% of the time its just not an issue.

Harley Quinn got a lot of attention in the various Batman cartoon series and movies in the 1990's and later.

I attribute her continuing popularity to nostalgia for that character and portrayal rather than for any particular love for the live action film portrayal or that actress. Maybe some of it due to the contrast to the cardboard cutouts they used to portray the other characters in the first Suicide Squad movie.

I think the actress did okay for the material she was given, but that's not saying much.

Maybe the Graviton that perished in outer space years ago was really some sort of cosmic energy being and the real human being who was Graviton really still exists at the bottom of a bay.

In 6e, Gliding is part of flight and "only to glide" is a limitation.

Another great place for replacements for villains you don't have yet is the Hero System Book Of Templates.

    Armadillo replacement:
Any hero with an unusual movement and/or protection ability, like:
    Acrobatic Ape Man (p5),
    Arachnid Guy (p6-7),
    Immovable Man (p15),
    Steel Man (p24),
    Stone Guy (p25),
    Teleporting Demon (p28),
    Winged Flyer (p31)

    Vibron replacement:
See Armadillo replacement list, but only focus on movement.

    Lazer replacement:
Focus on ranged damage attackers like:
    Fabulous Gal (p10),
    Fiery Teenager (p13),
    Fire Controller (p14),
    Queen of Weather (P20-21),
    Snowman (p23),
    Uncontrollable Eye Blast Man (p30)

Of course, shifting is required. You'll probably want different skills and disadvantages for a more villainous take.

The evidence is very clear now that Helmut Zemo will be an antagonist in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We'll have to see where that series leaves him. I also remember that the Abomination probably still exists...
