Lord Liaden
One of the classic Champions adventures, and the best "one-shot" ever published for the game IMHO. May I ask your thinking in returning DD to his 4E costume/armor? 'Cause, y'know, I have a personal interest.
Christopher R Taylor
There are several reasons, one of which is very secret but mainly I just like that look best. Its actually a significant part of the storyline.
archer
I think the 4e costume was his best. But that particular picture makes him look like he's wearing spandex over his chest and that he's ripped, rather than wearing a contoured armor chest plate. Tech
Earlier this year, I did the "Island of Dr. Destroyer 2.0" (actually, it's more like 4.0 due to players over the years but hey). I pulled out all the stops and the episode lasted about 5-6 hours. I prefer the original picture the most but that's my preference. Definitely a fun, fun module. So, C Taylor, I say go for it! wcw43921
Ain't lookin' good for the heroes in that pic. Where's Thundrax when we need him most?
Christopher R Taylor
Its an homage to John Byrne's magnificent Fantastic Four #249 cover: aylwin13, Lord Liaden and Lawnmower Boy
Lawnmower Boy
I picked up a copy, and since I had to create a DriveThruRPG account to do it, blew some cash on some Star Fleet Battles stuff while I was at it. Curse you, Chris! . . . Other than that, fun little adventure.

Duke Bushido
Okay, folks. If the weather clears, I'll go into this in more detail, but I bought it, and was not disappointed. There is a lot to be said here, so it will likely end up in a video. Bottom line: worth the price of admission.
Christopher R Taylor
Quote I think that's the issue where Gladiator picked up the Baxter Building by its corner and the fans went crazy objecting that the building should have crumbled under its own weight. Actually that's the way Reed figured out how to defeat Gladiator, because there's no way he could pick up the building like that. So Reed concluded he's using some sort of telekinesis to protect himself and deal damage, so they distracted him and Susan knocked him out. Some day I want to have that entire Byrne run, its so well done. By the way, if you pick up a copy, it helps the sales (and hence, the wallet of both me and Hero Games, who gets a cut) if you drop a review on the site. Christopher R Taylor
I tried to do something differently with this, in that I put some "treasure" into the adventure. Not the usual kind, like a magic sword for the warrior, but things that can be recovered, used, or taken advantage of by the player characters, if they are clever and observant. By the way, big news coming out about this soon, regarding both Print versions and the adventure its self. Amorkca
Christopher R Taylor
If you have gotten this from Drivethru RPG, there's a fresh version updated that you can download for free. I left off the writeup for the AI in the module! It mentions using the AI's range modifiers and such but I left it out :/ Duke Bushido
rjd59
Purchased this yesterday. After reading through the content, I must say very nice job Mr. Taylor! Christopher R Taylor

In Byrne’s Man of Steel run he set up Superman’s powers the same way. Str. & Flight as TK, invulnerability as Force Field, Heat Vision as Pyrokenisis etc. Christopher R Taylor
Christopher R Taylor
It was more subtle in Man of Steel but yeah, that was basically in the background. He could lift more flying than on the ground. armadillo
Christopher R Taylor
It will be a while but the next adventure planned for rebooting is Escape From Stronghold (the second one released by Hero). As this was less an adventure than just a setting, I'll be expanding it considerably into more than it was even in the 4th edition Classic Enemies rewrite. Sweet! Can you put an actual adventure in it this time? Maybe something featuring an escape, perhaps from Stronghold. yeah, I'm way older now (arent we all?), but that has bugged the scrap out of my inner pedant for decades now..... Christopher R Taylor
Yes, I have just the adventure in mind, something I ran in a convention once. And yes, it involves an actual escape Amorkca, Duke Bushido, Lawnmower Boy and 2 others 4
Christopher R Taylor
To everyone who purchased this module, thank you so much and good for you keeping Hero alive and Champions going as a system! For those who have not; DriveThruRPG has the module on sale right now! Well, it was on sale, for the weekend and Monday I guess.
