  1. I do like this app and plan to use it for my next campaign when i switch back to Hero system. However, I am playing around with this via an iPad and it crashes every time i try to change the base cost. When i try to change base cost a keyboard pop up. I type in the value but when I hit enter it crashes out of the app. I an running an iPad air (4th generation) with iPad OS 15.3.1
  2. My gaming group did a thought experiment setting for the aftermath of Feb 29 2012. We called it: Dr. Destroyer saves the world! Time line we came up with. Feb 29 2012, Demon's ritual draws the majority of the high power supers into a fight with Demon Inner Circle. Vipers local nest become involved on the hero's side. Mechanion Takes control of Unity station and nukes the battle as it is in progress. All members of Demon die in the mystic backlash, most other mystic heroes/villains not involved in the fight also die from the backlash. Mechanion also nukes stronghold. The World Super Powers then launch their nukes at each other because Mechanion feeds them false intelligence on the source of the nuclear attacks. WWIII occurs. The USA, Russia, China and other 1 st & 2nd world nations suffer heavy losses from nuclear strikes. Most of the nukes headed to Europe are rerouted by Mechanion to hit major population centers in the 3rd world nations. March 1, 2012 Mechanion's army of drones marches out of the north sea to conquer Europe. The population is enslaved to build factories that are designed. European Viper nests and Eurostar step up help defend with the European militarizes but get over run by the millions of drones. June 1, 2012 After loosing Europe the remaining Viper leadership, plus elements of UNTIL and Primus, the Tiger Force and other Militarily groups agree to swear alligence to Dr. Destroyer. The first target is to retake/or destroy Unity Station as it has sunk most of the world navies and Dr Destroyer knows where a working teleport pad is. Players would each make a super hero but most of the time an adventure party will consist of 1 super and a bunch of viper agents (or agents from another organization). We would rotate who super is leading a squad.
  3. Or a Pulp Hero supplement. Lovecraft will put his material into public domain for other writers to pen a story in the setting via his will. But this was well before the advent of RPG. DG&D with the Cthulhu Mythos was published at a time when the estate licensed the mythos a publisher. Ever hear of Call of Cthulhu RPG? That publisher sued TSR. TSR opted to reprint without the Cthulhu Mythos and Elric saga characters. (TSR heard from the Elric people also.) TSR could have won the lawsuit but decided to settle as it was cheaper. TSR was still a small company in late 70s.
  4. I could see an Aztec like culture gathering the blood from the sacrifices to make iron weapons from it.
  5. they mentioned the Flash talked to Vibe in an off air scene about his crossing into supergirl's world. Not everything has to be on screen.
  6. When Buffy did it's musical episode, there was a bid emotional reveal during it. Flash, not so much. Buffy told the scubies that she thinks that she was in heaven when they raised her from the dead. Flash, we just confirmed the characters feels from the year(s)-long love story arcs. I also liked the Buffy episode where they could not speak. Joss was smart to have almost no sound track in that episode to emphasize the silence.
  7. In the Far East, swordsmiths sometimes made ancestoral steel. They ground human bone to add into iron to produce steel.
  8. Are there any published villains that are sorta like MCU Dr. Doom? looking for a hunted for a 300pt super hero that is a Mr Fantastic clone.
  9. Interesting Vanguard, now I need to think about purchasing the 6th ed APGs.
  10. My player figured it out. Now to deal with the last player without a completed character. He, wats to make a Mr. Fanstatic clone.
  11. You might want to consider a very small vehicle. Size 0.5 or so. As a base to make a drone.
  12. Cramming of some form could be used to represent old skill that have not been practiced by the immortal in years. Dr Who has a character made immortal during the Viking time of England. The next episode where the Doctor meets her agin in 1600 or 1700. He tries to use address her with original name but she does not remember it. Eventually he goes to her home ant it is filled with journals that she wrote to keep her memories intact.
  13. Is there an exsisting alien race for the Champions setting that is an analog to the Green Martians of D.C. Comics? Trying to give guidance to a Player that is using Martian Manhunter as a guid to make a PC. He does plan to mix in T-1000 abilities, also.

    GMPCs

I am starting a game with 5 player, all of them have never played this system. I am planing a GMPC that is built on a lesser power level. My players are making low-level Supers (300bp 6e PCs). My GMPC will be a PRIMAS agent, built as a skilled norm.
  15. I am starting a game for a 5 gamers who never played the Champions system before. One player envisions his character as a human/alien hybrid clone experiment. How much would you charge the character for Membership in the US Air Force and to hold Rank in it? Just going to make him an enlisted member.
  16. One of the episode on ST:NG during the Klingon Civil War, Data takes command of a half finished ship and a malfunction in the Phaser floods several decks with Radiation.
  17. I have the 6E 1&2 and got FHC. I like the fact that it is easier to find the Advantages/Limits when they are arranged into 1 alphabetical order instead in 3 different areas of the 6e 1.
  18. The Pacific Northwest is the Earth's only Temperate Rain-forest. I was very lucky on the cruse I took around the Alaska inside passage, we only had 4 days of rain on a two-week trip.
  19. Astrophysicist have speculated about Hyper-nova. They usually result from Super-massive stars sometimes called a Hyper Star that burn for less than a million years before going boom. But these Hyper Stars are through to have existed in the early universe, like the first couple of billions of years. I have not heard of astronomers actually observing a Hyper-Star or a Hyper-nova and 3 billion light years is too close for one. The wiki on hyper-nova suggests that a hyper-nova could be from something else.
  20. There is no reason that a Pure Soul cannot be a power and a complication at the same time. Sure you make the player pay for the befits of Positive Reputation or Striking Appearance and allow it as a complication at the same time. The complication becomes that he will be targeted by the evil supernatural power that be. Either they want to destroy him or tempt him into corruption will be based on your setting. I read a Urban Fantasy series where there were greater immortals, Angles and Demons, and lesser immortals like Succubus, Imps Vampires and others. The lesser immortals were ties to a greater immortal and had to pay for their immortally by corrupting mortals or inspiring Mortals to goodness. The Demons wanted the lesser immortals tempt the pure souls of the world into corruption because that was worth more in the hierarchy of Hell/
  21. Piers Anthony's Incarnatins of Immortality offers you something like what you want. It is an urban fantasy series of 5 books written in the 1980s with 2 add on to the series in the 1990s and one last book in 2012. In the series there are offices that mortals step into to manage an aspect of the world. The 8 major incantations are Death, War, Nature, Fate, Time, Good, Evil and Night. There are minor incantations that support the major like lust, love helps Nature, pestilence, slaught, famine helps War. He never said gives a full list of the minor helpers. There are other minor incantions the represent various faiths of the world, like Jewish, Christian, Islam, Hindu and others. The most popular of these incarnations become the Major incarnation of Good and Evil. The incarnation of Night is very mysterious, as she manages secrets and is powerful as all the other together. Thankfully, Night rarely interferes with the others. Each incarnation is an office that a mortal steps into for a time, they do not age while in office. Each incarnation has a different way of changing office holders. Death is killed by his successor. When an aspect on Fate grows bored with the job the three aspects find a mortal to replace them. When there is no war in the world War steps down, if a new conflict starts the office falls upon the angeriesf person in the world. Time lives backwards progressing to his there birth and then goes to the mortal world and hold up his hour glass, whoever takes it becomes the new time. And so on. In this set up you would give all gods the ageless life span but each would have a mechanism to change. If you are interested in reading the books, it starts with On a Pale Horse, and deals with a new office holder learn his job while trying to fend off attacks by Lucifer, the incarnation of Evil.
  22. I realized that there is a difference between the LS and Transform builds. The Transform build will eliminate poisons that have been added to the food but the LS build will not. Unless you add in LC:Immunity to non-magical Poisons, 5AP. All the limits would make the end cp to be 2 or 3.
  23. Making someone think that they are not hungry with a mind control build would be enchantment/charm or you could go with images or mental images for an illusion magic school build
  24. I have been defining sub catorgiores of Magic special effect. So the LS build would need the following variable special effect +1/4. Creating food out of nothing would be magic:Conjuration:Creation sf. Purifying food would be Magic:Alteration. And a spell to make you think that you were not hungry would be magic:Enchamnent/Charm. Secondarly, marking something inherent is normally is reserved for something that is part of you all the time like an extra limb or thick skin (resistant defenses). Creating something out of nothing and making it inherent most likely should be more than the normal +1/4 advantage it is.
  25. This setting has elements of Star hero with Fantasy. There are flying sailing ships capable out of one planet atmosphere and journey to another planet through the airless void of Wildspace. The magics used to power these ships also drag a bubble of air that protects the crew from the vacuum of space. Most planets are part of a system of planets, all orbiting a primary Fire world (aka a star). Most planets have a central body of rock or water or fire with an atmosphere about it. But some just a atmosphere with a few rocky bodies floating inside of it. Others have no atmosphere. Some have rings, some are spherical or a cube. A few are a flat disk or some other strange shape. Beyond the Orbit of the most distance planet of the primary is a crystal shell of grey material. Most Planets hang on their own within the crystal shell in one plant. But some Crystal shells have giant creatures called star beasts that hold up the planets and cause them to orbit. There are even Gigantic trees that hold up the planets in a handful of crystal shells. The inner surface can have a series of gates to the plane of fire to make up the stars you see from a planet. Other have gems that radiate light. There is no true faster-than-light travel in the setting but to the crystal shells. Mages and Clerics can cast spells that can temporally open a passage through a crystal shell and allow a ship to travel into the Phlogiston. The Phlogison is often called the rainbow ocean because it constantly changes color and is common for a ships crew to see a dozen or more different colors in it at any one time. A ship must extinguish all flames before entering the Phlogison because it is highly explosive. Even a spark can ignite a fire ball that is 3 meters across. Navigation in the Phlogison would be almost impossible if it were not for the fact that it flows in "rivers" from one crystal sphere to another. If one falls off the ship in the flow, you do not die from lack air. The Phlogison can be breathed in but it will cause your senses to over load if you are away from the air bubble of a ship. It will preserve you form starving or aging while you helpless drift. Those who drift in the Phlogison usually end up changed when they are rescued at some point in the future. Sometime after decades or centuries of drifting they become an undead knows as a Survivor, who craves slaves and sensory input which it was starved of for so long. Some sages think that the Phlogison is the leftover chaos matter from the creation of the multiverse. But on one can prove this because it cannot be bottled and brought within a crystal sphere. Many have tried and just found the Phlogison to have disappeared from their bottle.
