    Thanx for posting the list,I've always thought that the combo's and ranking says a lot about the culture. For example one of the slavic patheons has a Sun goddess/Ruling diety married to a Moon god/War god...I'm guessing that night time raids played a large role in their war plans....It is also evecative of the Phaeroe as Moon bull/consort of the sky goddess of the egyptions. I would think that patraliniel societys choose male Ruling dietys and matraliniels choose Female ruling dietys, even if they later adopt a differant way of doing things. I've almost always choen a group as being a "storm people" or a "sun people" as almost always the Ruler is either a Sun or a Storm diety (I include Sky as a subset of Storm)Though I suppose that is and indoeuropean centric way of thinking....

    McCoy cool job...I've used a diety simular to the Metal god (named Ozzy?) That I've always dubbed "The forge god" This is a common diety such as Vulcan or weiland (sp?) if you can find a cheap copy Rune quest has a big section on creating patheons (Avalon hill era) and D&D had a suplimate called something like Compleat preist that is in my local library so that is a no cost option if your local has one....

I generally use spell colleges (this dates back Many years to when I ran Fantasy hero) and some Radicly differant systems and I had a open mind for other options...So "regular" mages used the wave arms, Zub zub system with spell colleges, Elementalism was termed "Sorcery" and used a few effects that worked like super powers (Will and word) and Naming was a Big Multi power with a lim that active was controlled by how good a name you had handy and was the only nonempathic form of healing available (making it desirable despite the inherant limitations) so a "mage" does his thing and casts a fire blast but a Fire lord just uses his 2D6 RKA (Flame) with +1/2 variable advantage...it costs way more but does way more. This was to keep the feeling of freedom that is a big part of the Hero system without losing controll and endimg up with spandex clad elen wizards forming a "justice league"...
  5. No...a foxbat master plan is to sneak into payroll and change all the checks to read "By cashing this instrament I declare fealty to foxbat" some where on it and then try to take over after payday depending on your "loyal army".....

I have often used Missile deflection: All attacks with reflection:only physical...The special effect vs lasers and the like is a "super dodge" ability you might try 360 degree sight you can glance around at hyper speed thus seeing behind your self...Flash defense, you are so fast you can close your eyes (!) Danger sense,you get suprised but with your reflexes, no-one can tell! Lots O'Combat luck also seem called for...also how about Damage reduction? You react so fast that every hit is "glancing".....

  8. Well I was alluding to behaving in a wild crazed emotion driven path of detruction...so I guess it would indeed aply in the case you suggest....
  9. In all my years I've only faced Eurostar once and it was fun, we managed to knock out 4 of them and the rest ran for it. And then my character the Star spangled avenger had to desperatly abort the B-52 strike I had called in on those coords when I had realized who we were facing... I suspect that the GM was taking it easy on us as we were a scrach team and Eurostar did not seem to use much in the way of tactics and Star spangled seemed much stronger than the other heros and I felt like I was simply in Eurostars league, most of my "powers" were things like being able to comadeer US military equipment and call the president and not be put on hold ,rather than throwing big bunches of dice....

  11. Ummm...Superleap +X",special effect lots o' small leaps......? Do you need autofire of can you just call it autofire? maybe buy Rapid attack with moveby?
  12. Ahh thats the rules lawyer in me...I could well Enrage myself and use my powers then have my buddy use a multitude of tricks to calm me down,by taking both I make it clear that not only do I have to get mad to start the power I must stay that way...at least that is my Intent.....

Recomended form either Grizzly bear or a "Dire wolf" using the wolf from the beastiary plus the "ferocious" template and maybe a level of combat luck as well (aprox 150 points) a bear shifter is a Baersarker and a wolf shaper is an Ulfsarker if I remember my old mythology reading...
  14. I'm just begaining to read through Fantasy hero, and I got some ideas for a beserker/Rage mage character. And I would like to check if it passes the "spurt coke out your nose test" as I am a hard core superhero dude since the jurasic.... Succor ST 3D6 REnd>0,Self only -1/2,Only while Enraged/Beserk -1/2, SE:Enraged,Always -1/2,RSR: Rage junkie (Ego/5+9) Free skill,no mod for power level,avg=(11) -1/2 Cost 5 points Or Growth 1x,REnd>0,Persistant RSR,SE,Only while ragin...-1 1/2 cost 3pts Mandatory lim: Beserk (11) (11)Running out of foes while enraged

Basicly the lim is based on how often it comes up...an hour is an eternity in combat phases and a blink in noncombat time....I'd build him as a skill monger so you can shine in noncombat and either multiform or naked stat the "Hour of buffness!"...or just buy seduction up to 18 or less and grin a lot when people ask why you call yourself "Hour-man"...
  16. I used to play a Ghost char on occaision and the warnings are good. I took the lim Vuln Necromantic magic x2 effects (includes mind controll, mind scan mental illusions etc...) to cover the " So, how do we handle a ghost?" issues in part. I played him as an agent buster/scout...with the side job of "Destroyer of Desolid villians" I took the desolid as REnd>0 ,Persistant, Vari-special effects. I was a mentalist/MA my ma was 20 Strength vs solid, Boxing for a 8D6 uppercut and 20 more strength that did not effect the real world my mentalist stuff was Images and mental illustions but I had to "manifest" ie: turn solid to use them. Oh and a change environment:Classic haunted location effects ,always on...after all any place I was, is by definition "haunted" I did use Invisability and a small TK (IPE) and the combo is hard to handle so do show care. But if the player is not a power mad fiend it will likely be "OK"....
  17. I'd say why not...just base it on the FX, of course I use FX a Lot, so thats my preferance....

Another good "first run" senario is a buch o'agents with a coupla supers for backbone...nothing makes you feel "super" like mowing down agents...use the characyers hunteds to provide the supers,get those archfoe rivalrys going right off the bat, keep the run simple too. I love red herrings and mysterys and I used to over do it back in the day...
  19. I say the smellier the power the more specific the FX and psudo science needs to be...I'd be much happier with images vs detect rather than the invis vs detect but either way I don't think I'd like it...it just shouts out "I'm tweakin!"
  20. I remember a lou firigno version of sinbad where lou was actually not terrible...Hawk rules, I always recomend the various "spagetti fantasys", just for the breasts if for nothing else
