  2. Man, disable injuries are pretty powerful effects. I'd think that "only" being able to seriously hurt someone is not that big of a lim...maybe more than "full power" -1/4 but not much more, so -1/2 sounds about right....
  3. Hmm...I always buy empathic healing with feedback -1....and because it is a lim ,the damage removed is taken as damage...???
  4. NND 0 range:super speed spin/shake...Drain end AE Dizzy/cyclone effect....HA x2 KB for super velocity throws/shoves...???....Teleport:must pass through intervening space:"Hyper move"...
  5. I was going to go with Shapeshift vs mental sense group or Images vs mental sense group with a penalty vs Per roll based on how convincing the "fake" is...probibly zero range.....

I usually think of Jedi TK as PK...ie; TK BOECV and wing the invisable part as ECV powers are inherantly invisable But Jedi seem to use gestures so I consider that a form of visable power effect...after all even a storm trooper hopped up on goof-balls knows whats up with the guy doin the up movement while the ship lifts off the ground....

Ghosthunter smirks "Go ahead, Scare me"...famous last words...one very gruesome instant change and a big pres ATK later Ghosthunter is standing there with her mouth open as the big bad Critter o' Doom hits her with a big bad claw...to this day "Go ahead, scare me" is a phrase of infamy....

  9. Oh...got ya...I guess in my mind Big flammin swords are a part and parcel of the genera so I think of them the same way I would an X-ray laser or a suit of power armor in Star hero. What I was expressing is there is no need to get too jumpy about the correct way or the cheapest way if no one is going to have to pay....Just get into the ball park and then fine tune and it's good....
  10. Dude you make players pay for found items? Man I have always let a player treat a item o' power as equipment...what else? "Dude ,sorry you cannot pick up the dark lords mace...you can't afford it" Although with the flamming sword "The wrath of Sullorn" the player acually did pay for it with a part of her soul (sold of a few points of characteristics) bartered to a big a**ed demon but that just meant it was a part of the character and even if stolen or sold would find it way back to the character eventually...sort of a "signature weapon" it also made her easy to find with mind scan because she in effect had "two" souls her own and the sword ,that held her rage and pain at those who had wronged her etc....
  11. Heh...I was thinking KB resistance Ivisable power effect: gets knocked back but for no effect (like the extra KB from shrinking)....Try Damage reducion vs KB/falling....
  12. I'm sure I saw an "official ruling" some where...or maybe I am generalizing from the FAQ on shape shift ,a power with the same "is it targeting" issues...heck you can always ask Steve if you can't find it...
  13. And of course in an heroic campain characters don't pay for equip so cost is only an issue if you want to make one with the independant lim usually...
  14. Killing strike/Killing throw + Penalty skill levels = death dealing Kung Fu master.... what level are you working in? at the heroic level mooks die easy so this is an easy one at higher levels HKA might model it better....
  15. Last time I did this I just went with "It's a special effect" so Sword:+1 OCV 1D6+1 HKA...Flaming:+2 OCV 2D6 HKA no price break as you can always do less than max dam if you want. It was actually a paracite demon in a swords form that "fed" on rage and pain....
  16. I agree though you might price it at the concealable level if the character can "Put on airs" that fool at least some....
  17. I say Why not? though you probibly should add Extra time :"months of rebuilding" to avoid the villian becoming the green lanturn of bases...
  18. Maybe go for a "wealth roll" ie:9+pts of wealth -Mods +other mods (like extra time to show saving up)????? So..."Lear jet huh? minus 5 on the wealth roll....."
  19. I often write up characters with Hunted: Old foe to cover stuff like this...
  20. Dunno...Physical lim:takes X pts of supress or dispell from skeptical veiwers (X per each)??? does this mean that oratory and showmanship rule as skills? Or the Bagwan can totally thrash inside the compound where everyone believes he has powers?
  21. Annother classic GM bit to put the character "On the clock" is to slowly change the rules so after a week say you hit him with "You need an ego roll to push" etc...puts some fear into 'em,yep,yep,yep.
  22. Yeah dude I'd go with a few basic "must have " moves and "Martial scholar" for 3 and 10 to 15 points of KS:kalaripayit,KS:Kempo etc....?
  23. Or even better put iron masks on kidnapped DNPCs and put hypnotic commands on them to "rush toward that elemantal and try to touch him"
  24. Shoot...maybe this is just a special effect...-20 KB SE:Random safe teleport and +10 with breakfall SE: as above?????? if all that you want is a "cool power" why be all uptight? I for one LIKE "cool powers"
