  1. For me scary for a brick is Transfer:Stun Damage sheild...make 'im a wrassler and you're cooking with gas!
  2. I did this as an End reserve that recovers via feeding...i.e.;Transfer Body into End reseve (as End).....feed the vamp powers of the end res an heigh-ho there ya go....
  3. I think this is an EC...Detect:someone who knows the answer to my question,cost END,Concentrate,Incantation:"Ummmmmmmmm",megascale up to a few hundred light years,Mind scan,Telepathy,must take target unaware,Cumlative,(A lot) concentrate,Incantation: "wait a sec...I almost got it"....

It is a credable argument...but it greatly improves the utility of mental powers...and I always take a skeptical view of "If we do it this way I'm Way more powerful" options...over the years I have done it both ways and "roll first" makes for Psi-pinging as a regular think...i.e.; I'll hope for mind controll,but if I get a poor result I'll settle for X (redirect targetting choice,etc...)
  7. Hmmmm how do I roll my Missile reflect...just take an average? Also if your going to take an average I don't think that 60 Def is needed, the stun should also be average shoudn't it?...Oh Now I get it I need to buy the charges as Boostable .....
  8. I don't know the official answer but I've always beleived that you have to declare then roll...I gathered this from inferance from how several example powers have been shown , for example Cumlative clearly states that nothing happens till you hit the threashold for the command...etc...
  9. The one time I built this sort of power I used Cramming:Memorys of person scanned for stuf like the persons first girlfriend or what happen that time in Guam.....

Annother GM cheat technique is to use a "horde" of small guys instead of a express number..."How many Kobolds?"...Ummm an Sh*tpot of um....so if they wade through theres 40 or so and if they start hurting, turns out there were only a dozen and it was hard to estimate with the adreneline going....at least till you have an idea of what they can handle "A Bunch of 'em" is an easy cop-out....
  12. I've always treated found items as equipment, but if a mage wants to add a spell he has to pay...unfair?....thats just what feels right to me....

Ive always thought of it as "At least a phase" and the actual time is based on story effects and what you change into...a super speedster 1 phase...Iron man , next Turn you are ready...do you have a DNPC? while you are dressing he/she gets in trouble or blunders into where your doing your thing, and like that...don't even Think about what unluck can do to you
  14. Heck Absortion: STD effect STR and Speed +1/2 Lim minnimun amount before any is acessed (ie must aborb in chunks of 10 each 10 gives +1 spd and+10 str SE:beserk in combat (14)(8) ????

Nothing much to add..though it is true that movement is impacted by speed so if you want Speed to not change how fast you run (Like say in a psionics campain where most actions are mental,not physical) halve movement when you double speed (basicly take the inverse) so if 2 is normal a speed 3 should sell off 2" of move....

Hmmm...still no rule book handy but I have considered Fully indirect to be "I'll fry anybody behind that wall"...I don't think I would go for "I'll grab anyone behind that wall"....I have considered TK to be sort of like streaching,having some indirect functions,but not all...but that is Me , not the rule book ...I can quite possably be wrong...
  17. Ummm...no rule book handy ...but I thought that TK was partially indirect...not fully indirect, does this change the numbers enough to get a closer match?
  18. Hey I'd probibly go with Rapid attack:HtH act(11) and call it good I believe that Rapid attack is "OK" for putting into a Focus...if not as a GM I'd say ok anyway like as not.....
  19. I'm just making sure that the way I plan to do this dove-tails with the official way of doing things. I'm considering Change environment to be the "correct" way to model normal environmental effects like frost, mist and the like. If Tian Mu the weather goddess creates a fog that does a -4 Per effect do I need a bonus to Per to counter this? I am currently thinking that while that does work, an Enviro-move efffect like "Unaffected by atmospheric effects" would also do this...am I off base or is this a "style" issue? Thanx...

I've tried this but it was a little too powerful for me...Multi (30) vari special effects,only to make an attack critical (cannot do more than base attacks maximum)activation (11) slot one) HA +6d6 slot 2)E-attack +6d6 slot 3) HKA +2d6 slot 4) RKA+2d6......basicly I rolled the "boost damage with differant colored dice...so an 6d6 punch does a max of 12 body and 36 stun just ignore the excess rolled....

Ahhh...Ahhh" Jeff Zorn was the idea man and me and John Carnahan were along for the ride....it was a cool run with 3 rounds we each ran 2 rounds me and john ran 1st round with jeff,me and john ran 2nd and jeff handled the final (we started with 24 players and lost 8 each round)
  23. OHHH....I thought you were talking about an attack that only effects people with medical condition...I think this would be wicked expensive Telepathy plus mind scan plus ego attack:does body....Yikes!

I kind of divide Vamps into "camps" so most are Martial brick types (even Dracula could have picked up Savate while in Marselles) Mentalist types (Mind controll, Mental illusions, TK...think Lung Hung) and Specials like shape shifters and "psychic vamps" and the like flavor with far east style vamps and World O' darkness and the varity is huge...The only vamps I have as established parts of the campain are two MA/Brick types ...one a master ninja created by a stow away in 1600's japan and a neutral thats a gateway to the supernateral world who shades into the mentalist side....In my campain the goverment has a top secret anti-vamp agency so vamps are an endangered species by now...

Take a look at the intuative only lim on danger sense and port it over for mind link and I think you'll be close...and if the dupes are identical and all have mind link,the other must have and limited group lims are a given...that should make it plenty cheap....Oh ,late thought I once ran an "army of one" char and I included mind scan:only other dupes so I could always find myself....
