  1. I asked about that as a kid and I was told that the cat could cut its tongue on the edges. Just like I shouldn’t give the dog any more chocolate.
  2. The great thing about Special Effects in Champions is that once we can break down exactly what you want to happen and we figure out how to do that in the rules, you can define a maneuver as looking like whatever you want. It seems from your description that you want something that acts as both a defense against incoming damage and inflicts damage of its own at the same time. In game terms this sounds like a Damage Shield. With all appropriate limitations to bring it back down to behaving like the described action and make it possible to buy on a reasonable number of points. I am one of the worst number crunchers on this site so I’m sure some of the others will have either better ideas on how to do this or better ways to make this idea viable. I wish you the best of luck in finding the answer.
  3. You can only see him because he’s so close. There’s actually a bear behind each of those other trees as well.
  4. Born from a long line of heroes and gifted with amazing empathic abilities Margo Lane is the associate and companion to the mysterious Shadow. Now with Cranston on an extended mission to the mysterious Orient, Margo directs the Shadow’s network of operatives. Margo Lane (Radio Serial)
  5. One of the very few things I enjoyed from my time living in Arizona was a good Chicken Fried Steak smothered in white or brown gravy and warm biscuits. Since returning to the East Coast I find it as unable to find here as I did good Pizza or Chinese food out there. Perhaps your experience with the dish is simply a cultural thing.
  6. Smarter and better Hero Games number crunchers than I have worked out not only a Hero Star Trek sourcebook but a Hero Next Generation one. Both are available for perusal or free download on this site in the Download section. It may not be the most up to date version of the game but it can certainly give you some very good “in the ballpark” information. Good luck and Good gaming.
  7. How did you sneak into my house to take my picture?

Mandrake the Magician (Comic Strips)
  9. That’s not staying warm. That’s staying cooked. This is being written from beneath the electric blanket I got for Christmas. 🥶
  10. I’ve spoken of a friend who played a Martial Artist without any M.A. maneuvers. He did this as Desolid not vs. area effect attacks. With the Special Effect of “You missed.”
  11. Space 1889 was a wonderful example of a Steampunk game. Lots of backround info on the real era as well as the changed history. Nice sections on the attitudes of that time and explanations of the new technology. I personally never thought much of the rule system.....but. A good resource for anyone wanting to play or run this genre. P.S. The Goliath movie can be found on YouTube.
  12. The Syndicate. A popular term used in ‘70’s TV shows when Anti Italian-American Defamation groups protested the used of the term Mafia.
  13. I thought that was something about eating a Slim Jim?
  14. pi r not square pi r round Cake r square This cake r not square This cake r pastry This is proof I never passed basic math.
  15. The Saietta family. From Dark Champions.
  16. Arthur “Cody” Jarrett, only being 5’7” wouldn’t ordinarily be seen as much of a threat but his diagnosis of “Homicidal Mania” makes him a dangerous and unpredictable adversary. His criminal record is long and includes convictions for Armed Robbery, Escape from a Federal Prison and multiple counts of Murder using both firearms and with his bare hands. His only weakness is his sentimental affection for his mother, but this doesn’t keep him from leaving a bloody trail of destruction wherever he goes. He believes that being part of the plans of this new gang and its mysterious leader will finally put him “on top of the world”. Cody Jarrett - White Heat (Gangster Movies ‘30’s)
  17. It’s manga/anime.....of course he does. Has anyone reputable ever looked into Manga and Comic Books as to the different fantasy mindsets of the two cultures? American Superheroes and the Heroes of Mangas seem to fall into distinctly different types.
  18. Dr. Clark Savage Jr. “The man of Bronze.” “The Wizard of Technopolis.” From his penthouse laboratory on the 83rd floor of the Empire State Building he waits only for the call to action. Law, Chemistry, Engineering, Electronics and Ancient Cultures. Together they travel the world in search of adventure. Doc Savage (Pulp Novels)
  19. I’m ready, just waiting for the 12 noon kickoff.
  20. Especially death from being eaten by Cultuulu.
  21. Arkham 90210 sounds like a “one-liner” description of a new series on the WB.
  22. I don't think it was intentional as much as fate but I’ve seen on the ‘net the castaways archetyped as the seven deadly sins. The Skipper - Gluttony, Ginger - Lust, Mary-Ann - Envy, Mr. Howell - Greed etc.
