GrooveD70
I just converted MnM's "Time of Crisis" to Champs and I think its going to be pretty fun. I know there have probably been posts asking this but, game system aside, what is your favorite Superhero "module"?

I know there have probably been posts asking this but, game system aside, what is your favorite Superhero "module"? Most of my superhero RPGing was done with V&V. I liked Crisis at Crusader Citadel a lot. (All around good introductory adventure). I also liked Force and Death Duel with the Destroyers and The Dawn of DNA. GrooveD70
V&V I used to play V&V too. Man Im old But I only have Crisis at Crusader Citadel and have never seen any other Module for that game... I used to love V&V!
Tim
My all time favorite Supers module is "Wings of the Valkyrie" My second favorite is "The Great SuperVillian Contest."
Hugh Neilson
Never really played V&V, but The Destroyers/Island of Dr. Apocalypse remains a classic supers scenario which I've used in Champs more than once. The Destroyers and Dr. Apocalypse remain recurring foes IMC.

That's the first one I thought of, but you beat me to it. I also like "Alone into the night" for V&V.
Mr. R
You're not the only one who's old I remember fondly those V&V times also. Our GM never really used any of the modules, but he would freely take crooks from the Most Wanted books. Ones we got to hate: Motivator Simon Shrew (esp from a surprise attack) Crossbow Mountain man Spider I never GMed V&V, only Champs. There I liked Into the Shadows and the one where a hero is being persued by Demon. The Voice adventure also got some work but I lowered the bloodthirstyness of it. Jerome PS just out of curiousity anyone have champ stats for the Destroyers and Doc Apok.
lemming
I have a large stack of V&V modules. Got them for the counters. Terror in the Treasures in AC #3, The Great Supervillian Contest, and Deathstroke were the only adventures I've run without incredibly heavy modifications. All good scenarios. After that I ran lots of home rolled ones. Though I've run a scenario based on Where Eagles Dare in four different systems now. (Paranoia, Danger International, Champions, and Fantasy Hero) One of my favorite adventures I've read was Don't Ask for DC Heroes. Ambush Bug, nuff said. Of the new generation, I really like the Foxbat part in Champions Battleground.
Doug McCrae
Operation: Strikeback from an early issue of White Dwarf (back when it was good). The PCs go back to the 19th century, meet Sherlock Holmes, the Bavarian Illuminati and Frankenstein's Monster. Everyone, really.
Theron
"School Holiday" from Space Gamer magazine, especially if coupled with the additional material from GURPS Super's "School of Hard Knocks". I never ran it though as I didn't think my players were mature enough not to try and hunt down their ancesters forcing me to explain the complexities of time travel, timeline divergence etc Of the White Dwarf adventures, I also enjoyed Peking Duck where the main battle was in a Chinese restaurant between the Triads, Mafia and a team of vigilantes. Also converted some White Dwarf Cthullu and Traveller adventures into Champions. Also enjoyed, from the same period, the Superhero UK fanzine and the adventure featuring the Pride and the Angels (later reprinted in Fantazia). Also fond memories of another fanzine "Its Clobbering Time". Wonder if any of these have been scanned and put on the web. Have also made great use of the Legacy of EAGLES adventure for Golden Heroes Champions adventures that I've enjoyed: The Dark Champions scenario-book featuring Reverend M, the Pack etc The murder mystery adventure in Champions Presents 2 with the death of Salamander
Hermit
"To Serve and Protect" I'll second this one. Really, it was a great one to run.
Bartman
I have fond memories of several of the late 3rd Ed Champions adventures. To Serve and Protect, V.O.I.C.E. of Doom, Wrath of the Seven Horsemen, and Target: Hero all got extensive use in several campaigns.

Bartman
Re: To Serve and Protect Originally posted by GrooveD70 Anyone know where I could get a copy of "To Serve and Protect"? Black and Read in Denver had a copy on their shelves a couple of weeks back. But that's probably a bit too much of a drive for you. There are also some online used game stores you could try like Cyberdungeon, Noble Knight, Sentry Box, Dragon Trove, and Titan Games. One of them is bound to have it. TheEmerged
Day of the Destroyer was a rousing success in our group. We also had a great deal of fun running the three adventures in "Champions Presents" concurrently. We also had fun with most of the scenarios in "Champions in 3-D" -- with the noteable exception of the "horror" one. I've heard good things about that one from people that like horror, but neither I nor my players care for it. There's one in "Champions Battleground" that I'm dying to pull on my players but shall remain nameless because of the likelihood that's going to happen. Blue
Did I mention "The great supervillain contest"? For some reason my players got a real kick out of that one. In fact, I wound up running it twice with the same team (lots of tweaking to make it work a second time).
Shadow Warrior
I remember that adventure - and when White Dwarf was good I too can remember when White Dwarf was good! I remember with much fondness lifting the first Champions adventure I ever ran from there... Slayground in issue 39. Very, very similar to the funfair section of Champions Battlegrounds but 20 years earlier!

The Great Supervillian Contest has grown into a major event in my world with betting lines and pay-per-view. After that I ran lots of home rolled ones. Though I've run a scenario based on Where Eagles Dare in four different systems now. (Paranoia, Danger International, Champions, and Fantasy Hero) You too! This one of two books I reuse with every new group of players(the other book is the first Hawk & Fisher book by Simon Green makes for a great Fantasy based mystery) I've used it with over a half-dozen systems and at lease that many genres including Fantasy and Sci-fi. One of my favorite adventures I've read was Don't Ask for DC Heroes. Ambush Bug, nuff said. Of the new generation, I really like the Foxbat part in Champions Battleground. Cyragnome
I'm running "To Serve & Protect" with a Champions/Freedom City based campaign as we speak, with the Freedom League in place of the Protectors. Actually the team just had a showdown at the Museum, I've been building up to it for about four sessions, it was priceless when the team first met the FL, who to some of the characters are their idols (well, sorta)...I've segued TS&P from a modified Deathstroke, another favorite. And I've always liked "The Coriolis Effect." GSVC is a good one, but I haven't played it in years (hrm...might have to work that in now...imagine the GSVC with the Crime League, Factor Four, Hellqueen, et.al. and now when I get Crooks! some of those guys as well )...I liked "For the Greater Good" for V&V, with the ultra-religious based villians, Pro-life, Auntie Porn, Cardinal Rule, Brother Angel, Fahrenheit 451, White Knight, et. al. I also picked up a copy of Dystopia recently and kinda like it as well. Wrath of the Seven Horsemen, good as well...
Redmenace
Re: To Serve and Protect Originally posted by GrooveD70 Anyone know where I could get a copy of "To Serve and Protect"? I can't guarantee it but Noble Knight Games is a good starting place. http://www.nobleknight.com/MiscellaneousPages/homepage.Asp Favorite adventure? V&V- The great Irridium Con and Death Duel with the Destroyers-Island of doctor Apocalypse. (My players loved when author artist Bill Willingham featured it in the plot line of his comic the Elementals. Nice to know the proffesional heroes didn't do much better than they did.) Champs-Tough, To serve and protect is damn good but I realy loved Coriolis effect. Gurps- School of Hard Knocks/School Holiday with an emphasis on the latter. M&M- Time of Crisis is a great deal of fun as is most any adventure when you get to kick Nazis around. Marvel Super Heroes- Sudden Dawn a World War two module included in an issue of Dragon, reaching here I know.

All the comic book folx draw supermodels, how many paunches have you seen that look right?
