What would your character do...#12?

(Assuming your character is of consenting age, capable of commiting 'the act' , and so forth...)

Your character wakes up in the morning, and stretches, only to see an attractive member of the opposite sex (or same sex, if your character is normally so inclined) in bed with him/her. Both of them are naked*, and appear to have done the hot and heavy snuggle bunnies during the night.

Unfortunately, the person next to your hero is a super villain!

Your character doesn't remember much at all... yet evidence points to "sleeping with the enemy".

It's a "Coyote Evil" Moment...

What would your character do? :)

EDIT: If you prefer, they're wearing their masks. JUST their masks.

Anthem: it wouldn't happen. no, really, trust me. it wouldn't happen. he's extremely old-fashioned and deeply committed to his principles.

Midnight: groan, sit up sharply, smack his forehead, and exclaim - holy crap!

Pinstripe: roll over quietly so as not to wake her, pick up the silenced .45 handgun with explosive tip bullets, place it on her head, and... pfft! Then he'd shower, get dressed, and turn while leaving to say - "I wonder if it was any good"

Doc Micro: he'd be dead. his android "companion" would make his life a living hell. at least, he'd want to be dead.

Quasar is another hero where this could never happen, short of mind control or drugs. If he found himself in this situation, he'd use his helmet radio to call the other heros in his super group and investigate.

Mind Maiden would have a nervous breakdown on the spot. She has so many Psyk Lims that somethink like this would put her over the edge. She's probibly use her EGO powers to search the other person's mind to find if the villain did use some kind of mind control or drugs. If he did, well, among her many Psyk Lims, one of them is NOT Code vs. Killing. The sleeping rapist (that's how she would see it) would be on the recieving end of repeated 5D6 ECVB AVLD RKAs. It would be The Burning Bed all over again. Then she would collaps into a heap and sob non-stop for about six months.

If this happened to Shadowhunter, well, he'd wake up, see who he was with, stretch, scratch himself then nudge the villainess to see if she wanted another go.

Then what he would do would depend on a few things. If they were just laying there, he would get up, go to his Utility Belt and hit the villainess with a 6D6 Entangle while she was sleeping. Then he's get dressed, call the cops from the phone on the nightstand, thank the "lady" and climb out the window.

However, if they both kept their masks on while they "did it," well, that's just too freaky. And WAY too cool. He'd put his uniform on, kiss his new girlfriend and ask "Same time next week?" If the answwer was "Yes" then it's all good.

If the answer was "No" then it would be Post Phase 12 and we'd recreate some of the sceans from Sleeping with the Enemy with the villainess cast as Julia Roberts.

"I wonder what the DEF of these cheap Motel room walls are, BITCH?"

Starguard -- again, no *possible* way is this happening to Belldandy Jr., short of some *really* impressive Mind Control.

Provided such Mind Control was used, prepare for a freak-out of almost catatonic proportions, poor kid.

Dr. Pain -- "Goddammit, not *again*!"

"You get drunk and sleep with supervillainesses often?"

"Well, I get drunk often at least." :)

Baron von Darien -- (thought balloon) 'You know, one of these centuries, I'm actually going to sleep with somebody who *is* on my side. I don't think I've seduced anyone that I *wasn't* operating covertly against since my wife died... in 1042 A.D."

Uncle Slam: He'd consider whether she was wanted or not. If so, he'd still ask her to leave and warn her that she had one day's head start then he'd be coming for her, with less "friendly" intent. He'd be embarassed and spend the rest of the day trying to reconstruct how this could possibly have happened.

Audra Blue: She's agoraphobic and never leaves the base. In order for this to happen, the villain would have to breech security and make it in. There is one villain in question who is interested in such things with her; Assuming it's him, she would be both mortified and terrified! She'd flee the room, if able and call for help, praying that the team wasn't defeated for this guy to get this far.

Anthem: She is not of legal age, though that certainly doesn't stop teens. She takes her goodness seriously; She'd assume that this guy overpowered her or something, but without proof she'd try to slink out of the room. She'd go to church and confess, including that she doesn't know if she did anything, and hope the priest can help her calm down. Next time she meets the villain she'd try and get him to volunteer data about what happened.

Hardware: "Cute, kind of reminds me of my Ex."

Air Raider: Raider wouldn't willingly cheat on Bridget, he would suspect he has been drugged or mind controlled.

Tiger Shark (smoking a cigarette): "Who says Stingray's a cold fish."

The Enigma: Sneak off while she's still asleep, taking any weapons or other obvious Foci with him...

Been There Done That

This happened to one of my characters once, Avian, her name was Valkyrie. We had a love hate relationship from the minute we met. Avian was not sure what to do so he started getting dressed. When she woke up she tried to kill him.

Later they got married.

Mayday (18 COM, cute curvy french girl w long red hair)woke up next to a vampire about to become his bride on two separate occasions. The first was run off by her teammates, the second decided to let his child bride live, and they have a happy marriage in that world.

An actual supervillain however, she'd have to see if she recognized him and what she knows about him, his criminal career, threat level and known powers. For most she'd put on a shirt or something, take a blood sample of herself and go make breakfast for them because she wants to find out what happened as tactfully as possible. Villains with such reps as 'Casual Killer' she puts on a shirt and palms a TASER while waiting for him to get up. Alot will depend on their first expression and first words.

ShadowCross' (20 COM, long blonde hair, long legs and stacked) mask is built into her suit, so no hiding there unless the two of them ripped her leather bodysuit to shreds. She ahem, wakes him up in the best way, talking is way overrated and the view is better from on top.

Sabre (Average looks, blonde but thin) is the most surprised. Most people (including her allies) call her the ice b---h when she's not around, and she hasn't had a sex life in a long time. Still... he's good looking. She indulges in a bit of bondage then wakes him up to find out what's going on, with possibility of round two (still with him in bondage) if they reach an accord.

Carmen (mature spanish beauty) would wonder how much she had to drink, she might invite a supervillain to one of her parties but not SLEEP with him... Prima meanwhile would enjoy the view and make sure her pheremones had plenty of opportunity to work because there's a good chance this guy knows where Salvo is, and why Salvo isn't here instead. If getting Salvo back requires cozying up to and sleeping with this new guy, so be it.

Wraithe (18 COM, auburn hair a little on the petite side, the extra body mass went into her chest) would identify the man, remove any obvious foci, restrain him, call in to her superiors at PRIMUS for backup and get suited up. Then she sits in the chair and tries desperately to recall what the heck happened last night and what to put in her report.

Linedrive would be impressed then uneasy. He already has his ex-wives as Hunteds and doesn't want another vindictive female. Get out of there but send the biggest bunch of flowers he can steal from the hospital asap with a note saying that they reminded him of her eyes. Then find a bar and pray over a beer that shes not pregnant.

Marjorie would get dressed and send servants to his room with fresh clothes, then call in her head of security for a full report.

If it is one of her enemies that usually wants her dead (there are 3 kinds), sedate him and ponder the merits of ghouling over Embracing, or maybe just kill him. A final interview should help her decide, since he didn't try to kill her perhaps he is turnable.

Re: What would your character do...#12?

Omega (foul mouthed 20-year-old uberbeing(w/magic powers variable pool)/brick): After the WTF moment, he'd ask her whether it was good for her. Given the strangeness of the situation, he might peer backwards in time to see how it happened. He always uses his powers as a painless spermicide in this situation. If she's a minor criminal, he might let her go, otherwise he'd arrest her on the spot.

Stuntman (handsome but pragmatic tough guy super in his early 30s, nearly impervious to pain). He puts on his pants, arrests the partner, calls Athena and asks her if she can figure out what happpened, then returns to the Hollywood Knights mansion to endure ribbing from teammates and gossip with Ricochet.

Thundrax (teenaged boy scout brick). He starts by freaking out at losing his virginity, then he starts looking for cameras, because he assumes this is almost certainly a set-up for a Brotherhood blackmail ploy. He immediately, informs Shamus (SUNDER's team leader) of the situation.

Johnny (minor league superhero leader, marginally superhuman martial artist, a normal with a few luck powers). First he'd see if there's any chance he can persuade the villainess to reform, or immediately attack if he slept withs an archenemy such as Scorpia. After that's resolved, he calls his faithful butler Alphonse for a discreet lift home.

We won't do (Peter) Pan on this particular dilemma.

Yeech. Talk about eeeevil.

Well, I have no currently active PC's, but of those who have had/might get play soon...

Flip: (Note: On hiatus...)

Well, he wouldn't leave right away. He can do that any time at will, so there's not much to lose. He's not really used to relationships and/or sex. (He's never really had the time/permission). So he's going to be awkward here. Mind control/drugs wouldn't spring to mind; I could see this actually happening to him...

He'd try and not think about the law.

Djinn: (Note: PC *potentially* to be used, I think this is good for getting into his head...)

Well, as the name suggests, he's not human. He'd have reverted to his full 3m size, when he slept if nothing else... that could be interesting. Since he recently came into existence (read: inexperienced), he'd probably decide on a talk it out/reform her plan. He's the servant of man, not any particular subset, so he could justify to himself leaving the law flexible...

Robot: (Note: campaign just folded)

Well he just cheated on his girlfriend. That can't be good...

Then again, he doesn't sleep, so something weird is going on. Reach an arm around them, (grab) and wake them. Play off their reaction...

He's law abiding and all, but for now something strange is going on, y'know?

It CAN'T happen with Irving. He doesn't have the biological drives (and is not, I suspect, anatomically correct).

All I can imagine is that someone is trying to play headgames on the *villainess*, damaging her already warped reputation by suggestions she's a lithozoophile...

Iron Will: He's a quadroplegic with heavy life support built into the uniform. If he's naked, he's dead.

Millennium: Oversized boy sout and perpetual virgin, would suspect mind control or something simular, possibly a plot to steal his DNA.

Dolphin: Sees the hero/villian dicotomy as somewhat arbitrary, can't we all just get along? Would get up and fix breakfast for his new friend.

Snow Leopard: Depends on COM. If above average, wake him up for a repete preformance so she'll remember it. If below, kill him in his sleep.

Cheeta: Use superspeed to get the heck out of there.

Elfshot would totally freak. She's the product of rape, and has always tried to make sure that she would be safe (watched her drinks, never left with strange men, avoided "unsafe" areas etc.). As she currently is seeing someone she would never cheat on him (one of her iron-clad rules) so it would have had to have been some sort of rape. After she beat the shit out of the guy she would go to the hospital and make sure that he hadn't given her any disease and/or gotten her pregnant. After that it would probably be off to therapy for her. Of course one of her team-mates (the cat) would probably find out about it, so there would be some sort of investigation, and seeing as how her team-mates yack too much, her boyfriend would most likely find out and kill the villain.

Warp: First will try to figure out whether he slept with her in his Secret ID or his Hero ID. What he does next depends on that.

If he slept with her in his Secret ID, then he'd sneak off to the bathroom, teleport to his equipment room, get a tracking device/bug, and port back. If she was still around and sleeping when he got back plant the tracking device/bug on her costume (it's got to be around here somewhere).

Then depending on what type of villain she is he'd either wake her up to talk to her to find out what happened last night(and perhaps do other things if she's in the mood) or put his clothes on and sneak out mundanely, prepared to track down and apprehend her later.

In Hero ID (the both wearing masks scenario) he'd Instant Change into the rest of his clothes immediately. Then what he'd do depends on the type of villain. If she's the type that tries to avoid harming innocent bystanders then he'd wake her up and ask about last night. He wouldn't try to fight her unless she starts it, and would let her go when she wished to leave (he'd feel sort of bad pounding someone he had just been with the night before).

If, on the other hand, she's a casual killer type, he blasts her with an attack while she's still asleep and then traps her in a spatial distortion bubble. Teleports himself and her to team base and asks Psi Legionaire to delve into both of their minds to figure out what happened the night before. Then delivers her to the proper authorities.

Of course, there's always the possibility it's Tesseract, who he has as Hunted 8- (More powerful, PC easy to find - Her senses can easily track him, Mildly punish - Spend time in PC's presence and get PC to use powers), who finds the dimensional fabric in his vicinity quite pleasant, especially when he uses his powers. Needless to say, this causes her to show up every so often, no matter what ID he's in, and set up situations that would force him to use his powers.

In that case he teleports to his equipment room, gets a sedative, goes back, and injects her. Then takes her to the proper authorities, hoping either they have the means to hold her, or if not, whatever happened last night had satisfied her need to be near him for qute a while.

Spectrum: Call the authorities and depending on the type of villain, either wait for her to wake up and only blast her if she attempts to escape, or blasts her with an NND while she sleeps to make sure she stays unconscious and flies her to the authorities himself.

Mystic: Uses his magic to determine exactly what happened the night before. Then, depending on the villain, wakes her up and lets her go (and perhaps offers a repeat performance), or incapacitates her and teleports her to the authorities.

Proteus: Not only has to figure out what happened the night before, but also has to remember who he was the night before. Ah, the complications of being a bioadaptive shapeshifter.

Depending on the villain, he either wakes her up and politely asks her about the night before, or if she's the highly dangerous, casual killer type, adapts his body so it produces a venom that acts as both a sedative and truth serum, then bites her as she sleeps. Proceeds then to question her babbling and unconscious self about last night while waiting for the authorities to arrive to pick her up.

Blackcat (martial artists extrordinaire) - this wouldn't happen to without major amounts of mind control, so she would phone her teamates, and get the guy incarcerated. She has only one true love (an ex villian actually) so she would be very upset- she would then go on a very intense investigation on who had the power and desire to mind control her in such a way, and beat them into a bloody pulp.

Ballistic (supersuit/supermage) - think to himself "hmmm" and scan back in time with his magic, and if there seems to be no foul play involved enjoy the moment. Then mentally scan the sleeping partner, to see if he could possibly use this relationship (or whatever it is) to turn the individual from the dark path. If so, he would kiss her. If not he would wake her up with "That was a very interesting night, but you do realize I still have to arrest you"

For my namesake, Seenar, he actually did this. She was a succubus sent to subvert him.

They got married and she told her father (the demon that sent her) she was not comming home.

They both paid for that later.

As far as my first Champions Character, Blackstar, he is a 1 meter diameter disk from another planet. It would have been really weird.
