Within three minutes I realized I was trapped in the series' obligatory pon farr episode. Don't get me wrong, Jolene Blalock makes for a sizzling Vulcan hottie, but "microbes make me hot" is a really lame excuse for throwing in BLATANT FAN SERVICE. I mean, come on, microbes? If your going to write a bad episode with soft-porn shots you could at least come up with a sexy premise. MICROBES? Very untitalating. She's been trying to be friends lately. While flattering, it's a bit creepy. After all, I blame the divorce largely on her these days (you know, after the guilt abated and the self loathing was at a normal level). Nobody reads these things, so it felt like a bit of a pointless task. For fun I spelled out 'porn' as 'pr0n' one one page, just as a test. Somebody just sent me a typo report on it. Dangit! It said if you are close to someone, an actual gift is needed. Last year on Christmas Eve, someone told me they had been to the Mall and it was wall to wall men. She said there was a long line of them at the Victoria's Secret counter buying gift cards. I think those guys will be in big trouble. Tonight, I must don what armor I can, wield my dual aerosol cans, climb up on the roof, and go to war with the wasps. I will have the advantages of darkness and surprise, but they are greater in number and have taken a strong defensive position in a nearly inaccessible location. There may be casualties. It was the crescent moon, flanked on the left and the right by two very very bright stars. I'm pretty sure one of the stars was Venus. I'm guessing the other was... maybe Jupiter, or Saturn? After about five minutes he got frustrated that he couldn't advance a cogent or definitive argument for his approach (if it works for him great but leave me out of it) and started trying to use his rebbe as a club. "But the Rebbe says..." Over and over. Ad infinitum. Finally, I told him: "Your rebbe is a brilliant man. I disagree with everything he says." Abject terror. I tell you, I saw abject terror.
