Well, I had it saved to my hard drive in a folder that was subcategorized by either (a) other GM, or (b) by game where I was GM.

But a fragged hard drive means a rethinking of that a lot of rebuilding or cloud hunting is coming (sigh!).

Under the Character Folder, I have a Campaign Folder, like HeroGM, I use a date at the end of the file name, but I keep, <Hero Name>,"_6e_" <Points/XP> "_YYYYMMDD"
I keep a copy of the Campaign Everyman Skills in this folder. I also create folders for each Organization (VIllains, Hero groups), and a "Everyone" folder for generics, like SWAT, Police, etc.

In these folders I have PDF exports of the NPCs and Characters ready. I do this, since we game online, and I have my session notes in a OneNote sheet with copied links for quick reference.

I guess I fully integrate my campaign folder with Designer as I use the tool so much.

Also, the various Sorcery variants in my urban fantasy setting Here There Be Monsters work somewhat as described. Invokers and the custom Invocation power are particularly close thematically (as I mentioned yesterday in the replies to the corresponding facebook post). Meanwhile, Necromantists, Daemonologists, and Elementalists use a variety of Followers, the Summon power, and various skills for some of their magic.

Separate subject, a long time ago I threw a "fun" character up on these boards as an example for some other poster, to demonstrate a "summoner" whose powers were all various slots in a couple of MP's with a SFX of summoning things but no actual usage of the Summon power. There's a copy still laying around on my web server here: Mythic. A great benefit of the Hero System is that one can handle quite a lot of thematic woo woo simply with creative use of SFX.

Yeah its going to depend on what kind of game you want.  More on that in a moment.

Realistically, there are five actions in play here:
grabbing the gun drawing the gun cocking the gun aiming the gun firing the gun In game terms several of those are bundled together into single actions, like grabbing and drawing the gun, or aiming and firing the gun.

Realistically, it takes actual training to get a single action revolver out and fire it with any sort of speed.  I mean you can shoot yourself in the foot fumbling with the hammer or yank it out in a hurry and cock it then fire at the sky, but to actually pull off an actual attack action takes actual skill beyond "I know which end the bullet comes out of".  That skill takes practice and in the game is the form of "Fast Draw".  Remember, you only roll Fast Draw if you're finding out who goes first, just tugging the gun out to fire doesn't require a roll.

An untrained normal person with just base familiarity with a pistol is not going to get that thing out, cock it, and fire it at someone in a single phase, realistically and historically.  I've literally watched regular people try it and its a lot of fumbling and aiming.  its a conscious, aimed action to cock the hammer back that takes concentration and time, the same with each action.

However, even a 1-point familiarity with Fast Draw will allow you to pull this off smoothly and take only a half phase to fire..

That said... some genres, its going to be common that everyone can do it.  Or it may be in some genres that the technical aspects of the pistol are irrelevant: they just pop up and fire when you want them to, and never run out of bullets.  All of these are valid approaches to a frontier game, as shown in various media through the years.

So in some games, you have to buy fast draw.  Some games, the GM might rule that cocking a pistol is an action that takes no time (but can only be used on a character's phase).  Some games its not even a matter of timing or rolls, you move your hand and shoot the target.

It kind of hit me today how I can best express this:

If you liked the vehicle rules and the base rules, then you will like having this book in your collection, as it is essentially more of the same, only for something else.

    Does that help?

From what I read, it is really good for a gritty city based game.  Not Conan in this new spot, more Fafhard and the Grey Mouser in another adventure in Newhon.  All the rest is background to a large city intrigue game!

I talk to Rob Miller occasionally, and while he's pleased that people are using them and changing them he's a little... chagrined...that people don't credit.

There are sections in some of those sheets that are obvious that they were lifted or were used as the basis for other sheets. ie Comments being identical between sections in a number of sheets

Honestly, like HTML, you can only do so much with it. An exported table will have a lot of the same code, or if you want to do X....

This sheet was a group effort. Looking through a bunch of the Export Formats, I realize that ALL the character sheets have code yanked from Dan's original sheet.

Thank you Tasha, I will. In honesty, it's a hatchet job at the moment. Needs some clean up.
I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to you for the work you put into the template. I've looked at it, I would have no idea where to start in trying to create my own.
