  1. Reduced Penetration is on page 113 of CC. My 6th is in storage tho. sorry. In any case for Reduced Penetration you divide the attack by half, apply each half to the target's defenses separately and the target takes the sum of what gets through.
  2. They use both names in the Monarch declassified files.
  3. There's simpler reasons for only using one villain per movie. Firstly , a movie has limited time to devote to each character and each new villain is essentially an origin story in itself if properly introduced and developed. Taking the time to develop multiple villains too often leads to inadequate development of all the characters and oversimplified plots. Secondly, The villains are usually bigger named actors and actresses(especially in sequels) and having too many can crank up the budget. wanting to get their money's worth out of these actors leads to them getting extra screen time that may be better spent on other plot points. And lastly, there's economics involved. Movies have a set window for length between 100 and 150 minutes. Too short and reviews will kill you and too long and the theater owners will hate you because they can't get enough showings per day. One villain keeps things short and sweet.
  4. The unlock code is 251720614. Thanks to You-Tubers.
  5. In power level, 4th Edition Dark Champions was very much an eggshells with sledge hammers game. Attacks ranged from 9-12 DC's but the defenses averaged about 15-18 points. But the real problem was the PSL abuse. One villain, Troubleshooter, I think had a 13 or so OCV vs head location out to 64 inches with a 2 1/2 d6 KA. Some other guys on his team could manage that OCV at close range. The characters were campaign consistent but the firepower was off.
  6. And many people are watching shows that they don't know are comic derived. Most people know about The Walking Dead but don't realize that Lucifer and I, Zombie came from comics.
  7. But that's what happened. The 50's and 60'are loaded with sci-fi and atomic horror. Most of it was comically bad but where do you think Godzilla, THEM , The Blob or Andromeda Strain came from?. Likewise there was a slew of sci-fi shows on TV but not so many because of the limited budgets. The genre drifted more to pure horror in the 70's and on though but it never really went away. The boom is more attributable to tech advances in SFX and CGI so it may be more sustainable.
  8. Have you been able to unlock anything past the first pages?
  9. Half the people Trump listed have already lost their clearances, but I guess he'd have to pay attention to know that.
  10. http://www.monarchsciences.com/ More teaser information in a pretty cool format.
  11. This is a prime of example of why you shouldn't buy drugs from your stylist.
  12. Are you going to run the HFFL again this year? If so I'm in.

    1. Logan D. Hurricanes

      Logan D. Hurricanes

I've put the thread up at last. I'm counting you in! :)

  13. The airplane thing is a fun and clear way to show that Aquaman (and Mera) are powerful supers and not just scuba people who talk to fish.
  14. I thought this was the best trailer out of the big movies that are upcoming. The glimpses we got of the kaiju were great and left me wanting more and I like the tone being set. It should be a time of trepidation if these guys are walking the Earth. I agree with Dr. MID-Nite on the probable role of the scientist.
  15. I'm not going to try to persuade you that Justice League was a good movie . Indeed, my impression of it as I came out of the theater was, "Wow, that didn't suck nearly as hard as I expected." The only reason I paid to see it was because Wonder Woman was above average and I wanted to see what they could salvage from the reshoots without Snyder(sympathies to the family but the man doesn't grok the genre). Justice League was not a masterpiece by any means. The constant flexing and posing, the annoying Flash and the CGI Villain were all just bad but there was some decent characterization and while the plan to bring back Superman was forced( When are they going to station some security inside that alien spaceship site?), it was decently executed. Batman was redeemed from the murderous lunatic of BvS and the post-credit scene was nice. That's why I said that the new trailers gave me hope. They are different in tone(and color palette) from the previous DCEU , so maybe they are starting to get the hang of it. I'll probably see Aquaman but if it disappoints then Shazam will be a wait for cable movie for me. And any subsequent DECU movie will have to preceded by either fantastic word of mouth or reviews from people I trust before I venture to the theaters(with a possible exception for WW 2).
  16. This trailer and the Aquaman trailer give me some hope for the DCEU. Orm and Black Manta for Aquaman and looks like IBAC for Shazam.
  17. My friends are divided into two camps on Iron Man 3, the non readers liked it, the people who followed the comic through the modern Mandarin and Extremis arcs thought it sucked.
  18. Toronto was desperate. The team they had was good enough to contend in the East but not to win it all. They were also capped out and were faced with being surpassed by Boston(easily) and Philadelphia. So they took a shot and they did improve the team enough to stay relevant for a year. And if they convince Kawhi to stay they are the clear winners. If not they clear Kawhi and Green's salaries off next year for free agency or can start the rebuild by using cap space for draft picks.
  19. Which is what I posted earlier.
  20. Yoda and Obi-wan retreated because they were the only two Jedi left to face the entire Empire. Yoda could and should have done more but Obi-Wan did have the mission to protect and train Luke. Luke failed in detecting Snoke because he never encountered him. Better Jedi masters than Luke(Yoda and Windu for example) interacted personally with Palpatine on a monthly if not weekly basis for years and didn't suspect a thing. Luke gave up after one student fell to the Dark Side. Rather than pursue and redeem him or stop the threat, he went to live in a hut in the middle of nowhere. He might have thought he'd have to face other Dark Side users but he had no idea The First Order existed so that shouldn't have been a factor in his decision.
  21. Then go with Energy Blast, AVAD Resistant Defense, All or Nothing, Stun Only for the build. That seems to cover the effect you"ve defined
  22. It was Terry Cummings until he was injured then Rod Strickland then Sean Elliott. Once Duncan got to the team, Robinson was the second best player.
  23. You forgot carriers that don't launch fighters until the enemy is inside their point defense.
