  1. I picked Houston mainly because there is so much opportunity for adventure there. You have NASA, an international trade locus, high tech industry and multiple universities. It's also near to San Antonio(military hospitals and training bases), Austin(state government) and New Orleans(Mystical Voodoo and hidden swamp adventures). It even gives natural disasters in the form of hurricanes and floods.
  2. It's not a children's story unless you consider Animal Farm or Gulliver's Travels as children's stories. Rabbits don't tend to live to a ripe old age in nature.
  3. As I remember, for Grab and Knockback, the Grabber makes a STR roll at minus the inches of KB to retain the grab.
  4. Actually the toy shortage would be caused by market uncertainty due to Toys'R'Us closing. Toy orders and levels are determined 6-8 months in advance but this year the manufacturers cut back due to uncertain demand as buyers like Walmart didn't know how much to increase their orders because no one can guess whether the sales will go to retailers or online. Excess toy inventory is really hard to move and that shelf space is needed for nonseasonal goods.
  5. More like general ineptness and impotence. The NFL has no power to compel cooperation, so if the victims won't cooperate then they won't interview the accused because they don't want to appear biased and they want to avoid a repeat of Ray Rice. Rice told them exactly what was in the video, but seeing it made them feel they misjudged the seriousness of the incident and their initial punishment. (Which they did IMO) They and the Ravens then went back and changed his punishment. Then when Ezekiel Elliot was investigated the NFL interviewed the victim but didn't allow Elliot to present any evidence or witnesses on his behalf even though the police report had documented statements that the accuser was lying and copies of her text messages threatening "to ruin his career" dated before the incident. The NFL does just enough to quell the public outrage over domestic violence cases and no more.
  6. It's a $300K+ a year job and long snappers have pretty good job security.
  7. Whew, the Redskins D/ST didn't go negative enough to cost me the game!
  8. All I want is the Gullacy storylines with MI6. You can make that SHIELD without too much effort
  9. And Mark Sanchez is in for Colt McCoy....
  10. Ghidorah has been a villain in all the movies except one and in that he was a mechanized version that was created by time travelers to stop Godzilla.
  11. I heard that the NFL and the Chiefs were not allowed to see the video during their investigation because the hotel and law enforcement kept it sealed. If true. then I'll cut them a tiny amount of slack. Good on the Chiefs for releasing him for lying to them .
  12. Just stop it. There were plenty of bad and missed calls against both teams. The team that loses will always be more aggrieved.
  13. Not so cute if they get under and over your house. $1500 in repairs to the ceiling and plumbing and many mornings awakening to the scramble of tiny feet.
  14. Fans don't agree. It's the most watched Marvel show. https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/agents-of-shield-most-viewed-marvel-show
  15. You have to get the DC streaming service. My cousin paid for it and I use his roku when I'm visiting.
  16. Episode 1 of Titans. It was better than I anticipated. First off, it is loosely based on the comic. Robin is a detective on the Detroit PD but does have the same background and origin with Batman. Raven is a big change. She is a teen who has no idea of her powers or origin. There are mysterious cultists after her. Starfire is an amnesiac. She dresses in hooker chic club wear and is involved in looking for Raven in some capacity. Beast Boy robs an electronic store as a tiger and runs off with the latest game in his mouth. The show is pretty dark in theme. Starfire kills four Russian mobsters , one in a fight and the others are taken out when she is shot and her powers manifest. Raven's powers come to the fore when she is threatened by a cultist and he dies a grisly death. Robin brutalizes 8 thugs in an alley. Think Marvel Nexflix taken to the next step. The show is being published weekly so no binges until season 1 is over. there are currentl 4 episodes out.
  17. The Rangers will be better than the Orioles by far. The Rangers would be decent if they had a little improvement from their youngsters and sign a couple of pitchers. The Orioles are headed for 2-3 more seasons of 100+ losses.
  18. That sounds more like Runequest than Rolemaster. Rolemaster was level based and gave skill points at each level.
  19. Well my cousin got DC Online and upon seeing their current lineup, I can confidently say I won't even consider getting it. The pickings are very sparse as they don't even have all the Justice League, Batman, Superman or LSH archives up. A small spattering of their animated movies(but by no means a complete one) and Titans is the only draw so far.
  20. I think it more that the bunnies are doing that other thing that bunnies are famous for . The cigarette is just piling on.
  21. I'll second this. I just watched 2 more of his videos and they both were as balanced and informative as this one.
  22. The OP wants a method to do a little extra damage on an Ice SFX to a target that has been hit by their Water SFX earlier. Well let's go into detail on the methods then. First let's make one minor change to the condition here. Let's not use target struck by my Water SFX, let's use target that is wet. This way the OP's original conditions still apply and it covers cases where the target is wet from other sources. Now this gives us +Xd6 blast vs wet targets only (-1/4 ) This way all targets are equally affected by the attacker who paid for the power but not by the other members of Ice SFX Union 1038. We can use Drain by linking it to the OP's Water SFX and specifying that it causes reduced defenses vs ICE SFX. This will be costly but is probably the best way to have the target take extra damage from not only the power's possessor but also all the ICE SFX wielding buddies. It also must target either PD or ED or become even more expensive. We can use Transform but we run into costing problems. Minor transforms can't change the nature of the target which is what has to be done to give extra damage. This means it will be a Major or Severe Transform and will cost more than the Drain( This would probably be true even if you used a Minor.) It does let all the Ice SFX buddies have a shot though and avoids the PD/ED problem. Now lets apply that increased effect. Hmm, the only rules for this would be Vulnerability which would be 1.5x(Major IMO) or 2x(Severe) Damage which is probably more than the OP intended. You could say it does +Xd6 but there's that paragraph on CC, page 93 that says not to use Transform to add dice, use the original power. Of course if you feel it's necessary, you can use GM fiat. There may be other methods but these are the three that spring to my mind. Use whichever makes most sense to you as a GM for your campaign.
  23. Archer and Norm have the best way I can think of already. It's simple and straightforward extra damage with a condition. Don't make your life harder than it is.
  24. Yeah, this could do a lot of bad things to the Florida Panhandle and SE Alabama. North and South Carolina are also going to be hit with more rain in areas that may not be fully drained from Florence. I'm not seeing a big increase in traffic on I10 as I expected for an evacuation. Thankfully this one has missed us here. It not even raining and the sun is peeking out of the overcast.
  25. The extra game was to decide the division winners. losers got to be wildcards.
