To the moral question, I use the rule of thumb for places like the Trove that if it’s something I just want to look through or read the way I would if it were in the bookstore or taken from the library than that’s fine. If it’s something I want to keep and use than it should be paid for.
I invite others to debate on morality as long as the conversation is kept civil.
If I were the GM I’d have the hybrid character make a scent perception roll and if I thought it were high enough and it took place in an area without other scents to explain the anomaly (the small locked room where a body was discovered, yes. Grand Central Station, no.) I’d then have them make a deduction roll.

I always loved the designation for this kind of invisibility as a SOP Field. That stands for Somebody Else’s Problem.
Does anybody know where that came from?
A boardroom at Hanna-Barberra:
O.K. guys, Scooby-Doo is making us a lot of money but we need something new. Let’s shoot it around the room, what have ‘ya got for me Bobby?
Uhhh...one talking dog is good, two will be better?
Great! Let’s keep this going, Sam, talk to me buddy!
Maybe instead of a van they travel around in a dune buggy. My kids like those.
Dukes of Hazard is a hit so we’ll put in a Sheriff.
There you go! Somebody call the art department. We want it on the schedule for this fall!
Your choices would be excellent ones for someone who wanted original names for their characters, but the setup was someone renaming already established characters for fan-fic. So I kept the new names pretty basic and easy to connect with the old ones.
The problem is that you’re just too damn good.
Olympia becomes....Hera
Amazonia becomes....Valkyrie
Enigma 7 becomes....Galatea
Scarborough Faire becomes...Wicca
The Blonde Fury becomes....Rage
Briar Rose becomes....Thorn
In Byrne’s Man of Steel run he set up Superman’s powers the same way.
Str. & Flight as TK, invulnerability as Force Field, Heat Vision as Pyrokenisis etc.
Normal for their planet.... Chameleon Boy, Phantom Girl, Triplicate Girl, Colossal Boy, Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, etc.
P.S. dmjalund buddy, you beat me to the punch. Good job.
This has been banging around in the back of my head since I sent that first post. Why shouldn’t Flash Gordon be somewhere on that list? No powers? Neither do Batman, The Spirit or the Phantom. Because it’s got humor in it? That’s like saying Blazing Saddles isn’t a Western. Or McClintock for that matter. If you object to it because it’s campy the you have to toss out the 1966 Batman movie.
Live and let live.
BTW; To mash two Arron Sorkin lines together Today is my day of jubilee! Bring me the finest bagels and muffins in all the land! (I’ve been watching a LOT of West Wing to take the sting out of the election.)
Bill Evans Live at the Village Vanguard (1961)
Desperately trying not to watch the results trickle in. Nothing will be decided for days....this is like some political version of the Chinese Water Torture.
The Marvel villain Bullseye had the marksman Skill/Power but unlike most of that sort he wasn’t limited to one style of weapon. How about someone who can use ANYTHING as a deadly thrown or aimed weapon? Throw in the Martial Art skill of “found weapon” to beef up his hand to hand work in case all his carried weapons are taken and you’ve got something there.
MCU Hawkeye: I tried golf...I played eighteen, I shot eighteen.
I make no disparaging remarks about your family, I’m only talking about a demographic that company is looking to.
I like watching MTV2’s showings of all the Prince movies, but I don’t think that channels really targeted at 53 year old disabled white guys....do you?🧑🦽
