I'm not sure what you're point about not seeing the gunman or the muzzle flash is. If someone walks up behind you and stabs you in the back you are at 1/2 DCV for being Surprised despite being hit with an OBVIOUS Accessible Focus. How is getting shot at by someone you didn't see any different? Powers being percievable doesn't mean everyone magically is aware of every attack before it hits them.

You keep telling new people this like it's an obvious fact, yet many of us use those values in Super Hero games all the time with no problem.

I've never seen anyone refer to -5 STR as half Str. Every +5 STR doubles your lifting capacity, but no where in the rules is 1/2 STR defined as -5 STR, so there is really no confusion about what was meant. As far as it being a "stupid thing" in the system, Hero is FAR from the only system to have lifting ability raise exponentially instead of linearly.

Half of 60 STR lifting capacity is 55. Half of 60 STR damage or grab or escape ability is 30. Since we use Damage to, you know, break things, why bring up lifting ability at all?

I totally forgot Red Hulk won one match before getting killed off. I saw him listed as 1-1 and had to go back through the results to see who the match was.

This is the second time I have seen this sentiment and it is simply false. Miss Martian has lost 2 of 5 matches, 1/2 of her team matches and 1/3 of her solo matches. Martian Manhunter has lost at least one round this season. Powergirl has lost at least one round. I'm reasonably certain I remember Krypto losing at least 1 round last season despite his popularity. Martians and Kryptonians are tough to be sure, and generally popular, but claiming they "never lose" is just not true.

I'm not sure I like the first option. Unless I'm free at the 1 hour window when results are posted it would mean choosing the following battles without knowledge of who won 2 matches instead of just 1.

I haven't played around with Proportional much, but without busting out my books and double-checking all your math, that sounds right.

You don't get to take OAF Immobile if the Power is the Base's Power not the Character's (unless the base is mobile and moves around but has to it's robot factory behind...). Personally I would probably make a player buy the Power themselves, not through the Base, and then allow OAF Immobile with the Immobile Focus being kept at the base.

How did you read it? I'm having trouble thinking of context where "Witness Hunter" means something other than either hunting a witness or witnessing a hunter (which seems weird for a gun name).
