  1. Working on it. Been a horrible week, lots of overtime and swing shifts. This is a 6E game right? How does the "Reduced Leaping" Complication work? Does in make Leaping cost double or just halve the initial 4m of jumping?
  2. Superman doesn't generally move at light speed while in atmosphere either. He rarely fights at anywhere near that speed. In fact, he regularly gets hit by things moving much much slower. Not just energy blast but missiles, bullets (even though he can catch them), rockets, and most importantly super-being that are no where near as fast as him. In the past Supes regularly got hit by bricks who not only didn't move at light speed, but had minimal if any super speed. No one is arguing with you saying Superman isn't overpowered. With most versions of the characters Superman has a pretty big edge over Thor, but it is not remotely anything like the one-sided massacre you keep insisting.
  3. Many of her original foes were women. One of her few rogues gallery that isn't a god is Cheetah.
  4. It is also a minimum, not a maximum. They stop counting after 100 tons, so "Class 100 Strength" means they can lift that much or more, often much, much more.
  5. Sorry. Fell behind on planning so this and on the super draft over in the NGD. I'll get on it soon.
  6. Most of the games my group plays have an equivalent to HAPs, Fate Points, Bennies, Drama Points, and more, and I can definitively say that your first 3 points are simply false in regards to those games. I would make an educated guess that they are also false in regards to HAPs themselves. The use of resource points often encourages more creative use of powers and abilities and allows for great teamwork opportunities. People liking something you don't happen to like is not some sign of the end of "good" role playing. People who disagree with you are not having badwrongfun that is making them all sore losers. Disagreeing with you does not make someone a narcissist that has lost their way just because they have a different preference than you.
  7. That sounds like a GM issue, not a system issue. My group has played a lot of SW and too many Bennies has never been a problem.
  8. I'm super confused. Why would it take a 100 AP Power to Drain 10 END? A 4d6 Drain has an average roll of 14, halved to 7 since it is a Defense Power. That's 35 END drained with a 40 AP power. If the target had 10 Power Defense that average roll of 14 would still get 4 points past defense, halved to 2 that's 10 points of END Drained.
  9. I'm planning on applying. I am thinking of playing a Forest Dragon warrior with an emphasis on hunting more than dragon versus dragon combat. Kind of a ranger dragon I guess? Thinking of either having some kind of spine projectile or venom for the breath weapon. Some questions: Would you allow the tail to be bought outside of the multipower (the difference being paid for out of our extra points to spend) so it could be used in multiple attacks? How flexible is the dragon's shape? Could a dragon, for example, have a couple meters of reach to represent a particularly long neck? When you say Stealth and Shadowing will have big penalties while flying, is that on top of the big bonus people already have to spot them due to their size Complication (+6 I think)? Is the size penalty to DCV going to always apply, or will it be ignored when fighting characters of equal size? In other words, will dragons be at -6 DCV versus each other and basically always hit each other?
  10. Sounds interesting. Didn't know if you wanted people commenting in this thread breaking up your info posts. Should all players be from the same clan? What are you hoping for in terms of post rate, daily?
  11. I like that Sean. Probably too detailed for me to use in most games, but I do like it. At what point in your system would you incur the CV penalty outlined in the rules? Or would you just ignore them an count on the penalties from your system?
  12. What about them? You realize Legacies would be a campaign source-book with absolutely nothing to do with the Champions Universe, right?
  13. Why? Why would they not be just as useful for superheroics? Or for people who don't like resource point mechanics just as unwanted for Heroic campaigns?
  14. He never said anything about spending XP for them. I'm not even sure what in his post could be twisted into that accusation.
  15. Um, what are you talking about?
  16. Resurrection requires a method to prevent it, so destroying the picture would be that method. That's the easy part. As to being injured/killed if the picture is damaged/destroyed, I think I would build that as a pretty hefty Complication/Disadvantage.
  17. It's a heck of a lot better contribution than accusing someone of liking the "wrong" edition of a completely unrelated game that isn't even being discussed as some sort of snide insult.
  18. To answer the OP's question, I think it was either simply an oversight, or considered not worth the space since it is rarely an issue in Superheroic games. How using more or less hands than required affects STR Min is covered in Fantasy Hero Complete.
  19. Take the normal Range Increment, split it in half, add one to each half instead of 2 to the whole thing. So 48-64m would be -6. EDIT: Or did you mean an actual mathematical formula to project out some distant Range Penalty?
  20. The change dropping Class of Mind IS considered an official change and Jason has confirmed that CC supersedes 6E1-2, though people keep denying it for some reason.
  21. Not all hexes are DCV 3. Adjacent hexes are DCV 0.
  22. I was misinformed, but wow, that's even dumber. Put that down in the top 10 most idiotic retcons ever.
  23. Gwen Stacy did come back, and apparently had an affair with Ozborn (the one that killed her and who also died and came back) or some such idiocy.
  24. So try it. As far as I can tell no one is arguing that you shouldn't.
