Enforcer84
https://variety.com/2021/music/news/jim-steinman-dead-meat-loaf-celine-dion-1234955739/ Jim's songs were so recognizable. Once he was on my radar, it was pretty easy to know his songs regardless of Artist performing them. He is also the reason I got to know Lord Morham and share music with him. Rest in Peace, Sir. So, In his honor one of my favorite songs of his from Bonnie Tyler (no, not Total Eclipse of The Heart, but same album) Cygnia, assault, Chris Goodwin and 3 others 3

death tribble
Well someone has to do it and it might as well be me. The full version of Bat Out of Hell rather than the video version which starts with Meatloaf singing. If this was the only thing that he did that would guarantee his rock and roll immortality. But it was not. RIP aylwin13

Narratio
RIP indeed. I'd also look at "Streets of Fire", an under rated but cult movie yhat has his finger prints all over it. slikmar, Chris Goodwin, Spence and 1 other 3

A great movie, a fantastic soundtrack and Ellen Aim & the Attackers is one of the best movie band names of all time. I was in one of the early test audiences for it. I couldn’t get a 7 pm ticket for Search for Spock on its first day and a guy announced that for anyone who bought tickets for the next show could come in and see this test movie for free. On the little cards they gave us after I gave the movie a B+ and wrote that the soundtrack was an A++ and that the bad guy (a young Williem Defoe) should play the Joker somewhere. Pariah
At one point in 1983, Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" was #1 on the Billboard charts, while Air Supply's "Making Love (Out of Nothing At All)" was #2. Jim Steinman wrote both songs. It's the only time that one songwriter has had the top two songs, performed by different artists. Rest In Peace. Chris Goodwin
Damn. One of the few songwriters I've been a fan of just for his style. RIP. Enforcer84

Streets of Fire was always a favorite. The soundtrack just made that movie.
