Bazza
Can't remember if I posted this or not. Infinity War’s Thanos proves CGI supervillains are a terrible idea https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/16/17130846/infinity-wars-trailer-thanos-cgi-supervillains-mcu-characters
Starlord
One guy's subjective opinion. Its odd that he's arguing at the end of the article that CGI doesn't allow for nuanced visceral human expressions when others have complained that it too closely resembles Josh Brolin's features and expressions. I would agree with others who have expressed the idea that he should remain in his armor. The helmet, in particular, makes him look more menacing. Lord Liaden
I understand the story's stated rationale for why Thanos is shedding his armor in this movie. But some things sound great in concept, but don't work as well in execution. Christopher R Taylor
zslane
Agreed. Thanos doesn't have to need his armor to want to wear it. It could be, and probably should be, a statement of identity and status as a cosmic badass. This notion of "taking off the armor and rolling up the sleeves" as some sort of I-mean-business-and-I-aint-afraid-of-anyone attitude comes across to me as very WWE. Christopher R Taylor
I fear the "take off the armor" thing is just more of their "costumes suck and so do code names, comic losers" attitude

MCU Gauntlet is definitely for the left hand. I think Kevin Feige and crew like the "sinister" symbolism. The one from the comics was inconsistently portrayed on either hand. Starlord
Phase 4 = Secret Wars?
RDU Neil
6 minutes ago, Starlord said: Phase 4 = Secret Wars? The write assumes the original (ugh) Secret Wars, and not the most recent version (quite good) by Hickman. If this is more than speculation, then going cosmic (with GotG3 and Captain Marvel, etc.) would fit perfectly with the influx of Fox properties and a Hickman style Secret Wars. That would be fun. zslane
Secret Wars...feh. I will be only vaguely interested in future phases of the MCU until and unless the Fantastic Four, Namor, Dr. Doom, and Galactus are made a part of it. Pattern Ghost
I'd love to see a non-cloud Galactus on the big screen.
zslane
He won't be a cloud, but knowing Feige, Galactus will emerge from Taa II and spend most of the movie without his iconic helmet or armor (and whatever is left will definitely not be purple and blue), and he'll probably look a lot like Ben Mendelsohn. Bazza
Well Ben Mendelsohn is in Captain Marvel, so I doubt he would also get the role of Galactus as well.
zslane
Chris Evans has been both Human Torch and Captain America. Ryan Reynolds has been both Green Lantern and Deadpool. Josh Brolin will be both Thanos and Cable. Audiences don't seem to care if actors portray more than one superhero; I doubt they'll care if an actor plays more than one villain. Disney has a real hard-on for Ben Mendelsohn; I wouldn't put it past them to use him as a villain in every brand they have.
Starlord
Cumberbatch played both hero and villain in Dr. Strange. As well as 2 roles in the Hobbit movies.

Lord Liaden
I find it especially interesting that the domestic and international box office is so close. It's not unusual nowadays for one to be significantly higher than the other. That certainly implies that BP's appeal is very broad.
