Re: Has anyone tried doing an Hyborian/Conan game using Fantasy Hero I haven't per se but one of my favorite characters is loosely based on Conan and I have a blast playing him. I also am a hugh fan of REH too. I would gladly help work on such a project. Where did you plan to start? What power level you start at? One issue I think would be killing attacks and defenses. We know that Conan can be a whirlwind of destruction so how do you represent that without tpk with the players?

Fyi, if you need a prebuilt Chinatown, look for The Dragon Gate supplement for San Angelo: City of Heroes, it has alot ready to use fleshed out Tongs. I will say though that this supplement does have a heavy ephansis on magic, but still good.

Re: Under the Agony Star: a sword and planet campaign One form of the slimes or moulds would be appropriate I think. That's very sci-fi-the blob anyone? I always had a soft spot for lizardmen. And ratmen would be good (not sure what dnd called them). How about porting in the Sathar whole cloth? I think it would be nice to have a race that can build monsters as you need for plot.

Re: The "parasite" or "symbiote" alien race I just was rereading the rules for automonons and they can be bought as followers but have not resistance to ego attacks. So perhaps that is what they had in mind?

Hyperman I would say that just because he because he doesn't create his his gadgets he still would be considered a gadgeteer because alot of his 'super' powers come from his gadgets. Just like I would call Stronghammer the dwarf from Enemies III a gadgeteer even though his gadgets are magical in nature. As for Bats being a martial artist, I agree depending on which version of bats you go with; Batman:tas-yes, Batman the adam west '60s not really.

Striking Appearance And if we go with the defintion from Champions II that I posted, this is a great example of manners and personality influencing the level of COM score (positively) and the Evil Queen would have a lower COM because she is a beautiful ice-hearted .

Re: Thw Westren Shores magic I have yanked it out, but what is this spell limitation you speak of? The only FH I have is for 4th. Is it something along the lines of real weapon sorta type of limitation?

I have a quick question about the Westren Shores magic-specifically one of its limitations. I believe that the limitiation 'must have 10 pts of spells' is no longer valid for 5th ed. So the question is, is it a valid limitation by RAW for 5th? and if is isn't what would you replace it with? Thanks in advance!

I think duplication might work better than resurrection. hancock.tom in the Men of mars series, there was marian race that evolved animals to look like men-without the shoulders and they rode the top like a puss covered head. I think that might be the inspiration for the TE race you mentioned.

I was going to suggest that the mentor was receiving some type of honor or perhaps dedication ceremony and at that event, the bad guys capture the mentor and the heroes band together to save the mentor. (This idea is not my idea, I got that from somewhere else but can't remember where)

So its good that COM is replaced with a mechanic striking appearence. So why even have the striking appearence mechanic at all? Shouldn't it just be a limited form of PRE from the getgo?

But when all these concerns came up, I keep thinking, well all these things are applicable in a superheroes setting yet that doesn't deter scenerios being wrtten up. P.s. for the record, I am advocating scenerios with a specific setting which by default has monsters and magic built to that settings internal standard.
