  1. Re: The ThunderCats Project Actually, under 6e, Megascale reduces to Personal scale unless you choose to add an appropriate limitation.
  2. Re: So..what characters from earlier editions have you updated to 6th? Slug and Photon from CKC. Both primarily as thought experiments, though I've got half an idea for Slug...

    Naming Help

Re: Naming Help I know you're already using HALO for something else, but I was in a group that used it: Heroes Allied with Law Enforcement...
  4. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... The Gaze misspeaks (or not... )
  5. Re: Searching for Maps I've had a certain amount of success using AutoRealm for mapping as well.
  6. Re: Expanding the War Machine Warzone (in my game, it's what you get when Mechassassin is crossed with Devestator... ) Warshot (in my game, he was the underwater specialist. I used a modified version of Le Sone for the base)
  7. Re: Possibilities! So instead of Thread Necromancy, we get Big Lifters! Discuss! On the tangent of ISS support, and having just randomly stumbled over this (link)...
  8. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine It works sometimes. And I can edit out the crab joints easily enough. The puppy feet are a problem though 99%+ of the time, and if I were talented enough to fix them I wouldn't need to use a character art app in the first place...
  9. Re: The Science of Real Super Powers A must have for every super-genius, or technologically super-savvy crime detective... Sensors turn skin into gadget control pad (link)
  10. Re: The Science of Real Super Powers Invisibility cloak created in 3-D (link) Also, I read a recent article on artificial limbs which had me thinking in gaming/supers terms, (link). It's from the March 4th edition of The Economist, titled "A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION". Dr Herr's work also includes 'powered' artificial limbs...
  11. Re: Insipiration: Doc Strange on Project Rooftop fwiw, Storn just recently put up a piece on his thread with a bit of a Captain America meets the old west vibe to it...
  12. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Neat. I kinda like this guy... ;D Got a bit of a Captain America vibe mixed in...
  13. Re: HeroMachine 3 VERY nice job on Enchantress! (must spread rep, yada, yada...)
  14. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Riptide makes me want to GM for poor Aquatic again... (Hermit probably wouldn't know whether to be happy or scared)
  15. Re: First Wave of Superhumans: How Long?
  16. Re: "Alternate" Ideas for Freemasons? Not surprisingly, there is a list of famous (or at least 'well known') Freemasons... Famous Freemasons (link)
  17. Re: "Alternate" Ideas for Freemasons? Masonry was part of the 'good guys' in The Adept series By Katherine Kurtz and Deborah Turner Harris a few years back. In that series, the Knights Templar had been charged with guarding and hiding the Seal of Solomon (and possibly other relics, etc). The masons in general were part of the overall 'force for good' in the world, and masonic connections played a role in coordinating efforts from time to time.
  18. I think I know the answer here, but I'm going to ask anyway for clarity's sake... (6e1, pg 285) If I've got a char with 15m of Stretching: I should buy +1d6 HA, Always Direct for every 5m of Stretching (3 times in this case)? Or would it be more correct to buy +3d6 Stretching (+1d6/5m), Always Direct? Or, more unlikely, is it sufficient to buy the +1d6 HA, Always Direct once, and it's assumed in the description that you add 1d6 for every 5m of Stretching?
  19. Re: A little help for one of my players Music Time: Styx (excitement, taking point/lead - especially in combat) Heavy Fuel: Dire Straits (I'd call this a 'ready to go' or 'I'm in' type theme, depending on the char's personality or adventure tone) Sunday the Seventh Day: Mannheim Steamroller ('hunting' theme, 'the game is afoot' -- on the trail) The Fever: Garth Brooks (describe someone as crazy, or berserk) Ballroom Blitz: The Sweet (attack, fight, expectation of a fight)
  20. Re: HERO SYSTEM MARTIAL ARTS -- The Final Count This one is on my 'watch for' list as well. I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for MA game resources...
  21. Re: You Know You've Been Playing Champions Too Long When... You can play Champions for too long?
  22. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine A new playmate for one of my PCs...
  23. Re: your favorite speed tricks. Nothing but a blur: Invisibility to Sight Group , Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2); Bright Fringe (-1/4), Linked: Running (linked to a constant power; -1/4) My attempt at the "now you see him, now he's gone" effect in some cartoons...
  24. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Guess I could add a take on my own character: Vagabond...
