  2. Re: A Thread for Random Musings FEARLESS FLY !
  3. Re: Villains and their Secret ID, post-trial In my campaign, arrested super-criminals usually go into the "neither" ID type of category. But my campaign also has the dreaded MRA, so if they werent registered that way its double jeopardy Mutant Reg. Act.!
  4. Re: Let your geek show! (or Science for RPGs) Gosh you guys are way off topik!
  5. Re: weird villain concepts more than just a cheap Submariner clone ! he can be a cheap Bat-Man clone at the same time!
  6. Re: Animating Objects the object animates: it is mostly no longer available for its original purpose. the object can then attack or it can fetch, push levers, trip, and do things people do. Are these the basic tenets of anim.object?
  7. Re: Finally figured out what I hate about Star Wars in RPGs that hits it right on the head. ZACKLY. what will you do about Lightsabers versus the Physical world. - - - - cutting doors, snapping wires, popping hand-cuffs. and sabers have missile deflec / reflec, yah yah.
  8. Re: weird villain concepts Had a villainess, based on the flavor text in an old Champions book. Cosmic Meat Hawk! well she used to be skinny, looked like Demona: then she got locked in Strong Hold, and the depression and lack of exercise helped her get fat. too fat to fly. Her villain named use to be Cosmic Night Hawk. now she's berserk 14 or less when referred to as Cosmic Meat Hawk. and she escapes Stronghold of course. she can sorta glide, has lots of basic ED/PD from the leather skin, and drips NND poison from her little claws. but now she weigh 375 pounds. It takes a truly noble hero to NOT mock her.
  9. Re: Looking for Firearm Resource your firearm resource would be Skaramine, and as soon as they wise up and un-ban him, you'll know.
  10. Re: Looking for an example of a Dragon Lady character from TV/Movies for a Pulp campa the madame from the brothel in big trouble in little china
  11. Re: O.m.a.c. Spoilers;;;;;;;;;; isnt this the junk where they killed Blue Beetle in the first issue? (a "full frontal", quite graphic killing)
  12. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER (-h000) <<< Obelisk Encounter >>> Our Heroine the Emerald Medusa has been pushed to hex # (2791, 1833) by a massive wave of positrons! It seems to have originated from hex # ( 2831, 1689 ).
  13. Re: Who do you trust? Hero Board savants I recommend Skaramine. Hope he comes back. When you can pry him off the NGD he usually contributes well. Also Desmarais is pretty intelligent. So very wise and pretty.
  14. Re: Musings on Random Musings My kitty has more super-powers than yours does ! http://mondego.airc.pt/sirhaiva/clipart/kitty.jpg>
  15. Re: Who is your campaigns "Bad Guy they love to hate" in my game its Papa Grey (the heroes don't know his real name) Papa Grey sends minions, soldiers, mind-controlled lackeys; UFOs and the kitchen sink at them. Papa Grey has Mental Attack, Stealth, Invisibility, and Mind Control but his most annoying power is Ex-Dim Move: Time-Hopping.
  16. Re: Missing SW-Brand Mono-Climates So that's why they had to blow up Alderaan! it was a median class M world with a range of environments.
  17. Re: Favorite Superhero Lines they were looking for cool superhero quotes. Cerebus is another animal entirely. Ugh. Dark Night 2, let's try Kara, the daughter of Superman, responding to Brainiac's prediction of servitude: "Wrong, Monster, I'll be the death of you"
  18. Re: Your "2005" Pet Gaming Projects john john john. yep yep. yep. tsk tsk tsk.. well well well.
  19. Re: Favorite Superhero Lines Green Lantern (John Stewart) is working himself into a lather trying to do everything, save everybody, be everywhere at once, and he's wearing himself out. He's tired, and he's on edge, and he's making mistakes. Superman flies up to him to urge him to take a rest, they all need breaks once in a while, no-one's a super-hero for 24 hours a day. John snaps back at Supes: WHAT IS THIS? HASSLE GREEN LANTERN DAY AND YA CAN'T FIND GUY GARDNER?

    columbia!

Re: columbia! if only somehow this power could be harnessed for good
  21. Re: from little plot seeds, mighty games do grow: Share you ideas! These were the plot hooks of my JLA campaign (Justic League Alabama, set in Birmingham ! ) 1. Stronghold was rebuilt in secret in the iron hills around Birmingham. JLA was established as a 3rd string superhero team. In the eyes of the government they are little more than the super-guards for the super-jail that is Stronghold . 2. Tyrannon tried to conquer the Champions universe, and was repulsed. So he laid down a dimensional seal upon. Nothing leaves the Champions universe. It was GM fiat, but the mechanics would have been like a 300 point suppress on a all powers with dimensional SFX. So several entities (Lord of Change, Serra Angel ) were trapped in the CU, and several supers (Clea, Zatanna, Modok) were trapped there also. So if someone summoned something, it stayed. 3. I can't remember all the loose ends the former Gm Richard left, and he won't tell me. There was the Atlantean-Lemurian thing. There were the weapon smugglers. There was the aquatic armor problem. There was the HYDRA and gangs stuff going on. There was the kidnappings of young female paranormals. There was all kinds of crap happening when his campaign ended, and precious few clues to tie it all together. So I had the Miami Machine handle all that and had the heroes concentrate on the new Stronghold. Richard didn't leave the group, he reverted to the role of player and ran Magic Michael quite well, it was an amicable piracy, somehow. But that's how the JLA got established, kids.
  22. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER (-h000)<<< The Machines of Yore >>> From: Gamma Ti Sid Planet ID# 345 We have found a machine that can detect the locations of other machines. It will only detect those machines that are active. Set the friendly code to ON* to activate it (* can be anything).
  23. Re: Some ideas for a "DEMON" splinter group needed the summoning circle group they know a few rituals, and do the classic pentagram summonings. they bring in a demon, pay it off, task it to do some crime, and it returns later, mission accomplished, and gets freed. they are disgusting, hard to trace, but easy to fight once the heroes get their base located.
  24. Re: Hero System women are all insanely attractive I used to GM a game, and I had 2 NPCs: one was Ladyfist, a mutant brick. her STR was 57, and so was her COM. it was one of her physical disads, part of her mutation. half of her XPs would go into STR and COM, so they rose together over her career. At fifty-seven comeliness she was physically the most lovely thing in my universe, and the most hateful villain you could imagine. the other was Bambolea, a combination or Selena, Mariah Carey, and Dazzler. she had Comeliness 48 or so. she was an entertainer who fought crime on tour! Now these are insane levels of beauty, and people told me that. IMHO once COM gets so high, its mystical in nature At average levels (10-25) then a man's personal tastes come into play: because some like them tall, some like them curvy, some like the youthful look, some like them mature, and I'll leave out hair color and ethnic traits such as freckles or tan color. So a girl of COM 22 might be only COM 18 to Jimbo, cause Jimbo likes'em tall, ya dig? So if you have a woman of 48-60 Comeliness, her beauty transcends personal tastes: Every being capable of appreaciating beauty will be attracted to her. She's 64 times as pretty as any actress or model you can think of. Even shaving off 5-10 points of taste variations (eg "I don't prefer red-heads")
