Re: Earthshaking stomp For the standard Naked Advantage Explosion (or Area of Effect) on STR damage, you could also add a Limitation "Half Damage If Target Makes A DEX Roll" -1/2. So if the target keeps his feet, less damage (per the original post).

Re: Announcing Kazei 5, Second Edition Nice previews! Looking forward to ordering the book. One suggestion: The XM-109 uses a targeting computer from Dark Champions. Try not to reference out-of-print (and never to be reprinted, IIRC) books from 5e (although it is still available as a pdf). If there's only a few instances of this, maybe Hero Games will grant permission to print the stats in Kazei 5 2.0

Mikaboshi, While some things have changed and character creation point costs are different, the actual *gameplay* has changed very little between 5th and 6th edition (and for that matter, little between 1st edition and 6th edition). I recommend running with the books you have. If your interest (and the interest of your players) grows, consider going to 6th edition as your financial situation allows. In short, enjoy what you have, and if you have the interest and finances, convert to 6th. Good luck!

Re: I ruined my campaign Bummer. Did the player know what you intended beforehand? I have run some intense plotlines (for example, an attempted rape on a female PC in a Harn [relatively realistic medieval fantasy] setting), but have taken the player aside beforehand and gotten his/her buy-in [and if not, the player has veto power on the proposed plotline!]; in the above case, letting her know that the outcome would be okay. (The other players did not, however...) In the same campaign, a father and his teen-aged daughter were playing, and he had veto power on all proposed plots that he considered inappropriate.
