These latest trailers are the first ones that make me feel actually interested in the movie itself, rather than just thinking "Marvel should have made this movie in 2015!"

That Morbius trailer does look good, although I question the "From the studio that brought you Spider-Man: Far From Home" stuff.  More like "From The Company That Let Marvel Make Good Spider-Man Movies".

Yes, unfortunately there is. They’re a result of a bizarre experiment that tried to cross a millennial with a mullet.  They escaped into the sewers and began to breed. Then they spread and built hives in places like Brooklyn and Seattle. Hiding in dusty corners of  artesial...atrtisinal.....(oh screw it!) pretentious pickle shops and Kings of Leon concerts.
Beware their coming!!  Once they land on your head they take over your brain and make you drink $500.00 a pound coffee that was pooped out of a jungle rat’s bum.  Their Prius’s move silently so take care Americans........and watch the skies!!!!!!

I don't think Dispel against natural darkness is a thing, because there isn't anything there to dispel.  Natural darkness is a lack of light, not anything applied.

Personally on the whole issue of the ability to produce light in a supers game (or have a cell phone, or etc.)

    1) You can purchase a $2 pen light from the store.  It will not cost you points.  It will not have def or body as it's a story prop.  When the villain shows up, lights flicker and bulbs burn out or the first time you get knocked back, the thing breaks.  If you want something more dependable, pay points for it.
    2) I understand the concept of change environment and gut instinct tells me its the way to do it.  After all, in D&D you get darkness penalties removed the farther out from the light source.  But I've come to understand why they use light as an image.  Using change environment means the  effect is only applicable within the area.  You can't really get the bonuses from the change environment outside the radius of the change environment effect.  With images, you can still see the image within the effect (i.e. the image doesn't disappear if you go outside the effect.  You still see it clearly with a +4 to see it.  The image is the bright spot in the center.

If you want to watch another example of Bogey playing a character going through a mental breakdown, watch The Caine Mutiney. Another great movie with a great cast.

“So if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech, right? You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg. If you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent and your god, and f— off.”

Not even the return of Seven of Nine will do that.  If they had focused on Ryker commanding The Titan with a few characters from Deep Space Nine and Voyager it would have kept the franchise going, especially if they skipped Enterprise and Star Trek Nemesis.  What we get now it Zombie Entertainment.  The mindless body of our beloved Series and Movies hungering for rating or box office only to be shot in the head by the utter indifference of the audience.

I once pissed off a professor by turning in an extensive thesis on the political and social commentaries contained within the Dr. Suess title "Green Eggs and Ham."

She was pissed that I had done it, that I had done it well, and that she could not shoot it down.  (Though I did get a couple of deductions for random punctuation errors and failing to italicize something or other in the bibliography).

I did it mostly -- well, not _just_ to irritate her, but to express my displeasure at this sort of nonsense:  if you want to see it bad enough, you will.  You will see anything and everything you could ever hope for, simply because you get to pick and chose your evidence, both from your "work of art" and from your "obviously talking about" stuff from the real world.  The more generic the material you're working with, the easier it is to do. The younger you are, the easier it is to do, because you haven't stepped back enough to not need that validation anymore.  At the end of the day, don't accept any of it, because no matter what someone claims it says, he's as full of crap as the guy saying the opposite.  We need to stop looking for validation for our dumbass opinions.  Eventually, we all going to have to, or we will just stop growing all together.

Put more in keeping with my casual demeanor:  you don't need this political claptrap.  Star Wars can suck all by itself, on its own merits.

I mean no disrespect when I say this, but in regards to the "whatever that kid's name was's redemption arc goes too quickly," I would like to point out that Vader's "redemption arc" was less than ten minutes.   Less than ten!

It _kills_ me that people hold this crap in such high regard.

I was introduced to Heroes way back in 3rd edition when a friend of mine was running a Heroic level campaign based on Star Wars. Since then I fell in love with the system.

Then in 2004, I found myself playing a little MMO called City of Heroes. Since that time, I wanted to set up a campaign based on CoH using Heroes. But I never found the right group who was willing to play in this type of setting. Now, the group that I’m in are willing to try (currently playing Starfinders with a bit of Scion thrown in) playing this system. (One player already made his character)

So I’m excited to see how my two great Super Hero loves is going to work

I like your take on Enterprise, but as to The Rebel Generation:  cynical Star Trek ain't Star Trek.  DS9 is pretty much as dark as ST ever can be without becoming something else entirely.
