Hello, I just submitted 5 game options at Origins this year. I am not a part of a group, but I will be running 5 HERO games at Origins this year (thought about mixing with Savage Worlds, but figured that it would mess up my DM brain too much). I'll post the schedule as we get closer. Champions: Evilution Unchained!: An adaptation of Pete Ruttman's 3-Act adventure for a convention setting. It's a modified "historical" game set 20 years ago. It is set in the late Dave Webb's campaign city of Metro City, which replaces the San Francisco Bay Area in this modified Champions Universe. The players are a team of new superheroes who are taking upon the ma…

Will anyone on the HERO Games forums be attending Dragon Con 2019? I'll be in attendance and have signed up for the only currently listed HERO System game sessions (the Saturday night sessions). It's a 5th edition Champions two-part scenario. Details for parts 1 & 2 can be found at the embedded hyperlinks. Here's the Dragon Con Gaming site where you can search for events and sign up. Open slots are still available. Let me know if you're planning to attend and would like to play games.

Hello, I managed to get my games scheduled at Origins this year. I am not a part of a group, but I will be running a few HERO games at Origins this year. Here is my schedule: A Life Less Ordinary (HERO System, Anime HERO): Some students in Japan acquire great powers and must stop a force of terrifying and insidious evil from consuming their college campus. RPG. 4-6 Players. Wednesday, June 12th from 2 pm - 6 pm. Revelations 1001 (HERO System, Fantasy HERO): The End Times of Book of Revelation are literally coming true in 1001 A.D. Six heroes have been gathered by the forces of light, some of them far more relucta…

Howdy, Herophiles! As some of you may already know, I'm a guest at GenghisCon 42 -- this February 21-24! You can find out about the con in general here: GenghisCon 42, Feb. 21-24 And early registration for games is already open! Game Registration I am running three games, one each day: Scales Of The Serpent (which I think has gotten mis-named "V.I.P.E.R. Returns" in the registration table), a Champions scenario; The Shadow From The Mountains, a Fantasy Hero adventure; and Let's Go To The Maul, an MHI RPG / Urban Fantasy Hero caper. I've already seen a couple of people sign up for them, so you'd better hurry if you want to get one of t…

I will be attending the U-Con Gaming Convention over in Ypsilanti, Michigan from November 9-11th. Shane Harsch will also be in attendance, but I am right now the only one of two running HERO games. I will be running a Fantasy/Post-Acolyptic HERO game based on Steve Long's Revelations 1001, a Champions Superhero game based on the creation of a late friend of mine, and a Martial Arts HERO game set in 16th century China. Details are here.

I will definitely be there! This will be my first Gen Con (and my first gaming-centered con)! Who else will be going? (I'm also looking for recommendations on events and such things, especially things involving Hero Games.)

On September 7-9 I'll be up in Alexandria, VA as a guest at MAGLabs, a convention taking place at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center. I'll be holding my Worldbuilding Workshop (and a much shorter one on building monsters) and my How To Write Elvish workshop, plus interacting with gamers and fans and just generally having an awesome time. If you're in the area, please come out and say howdy! MAGLabs (Sept. 7-9, Alexandria, VA)

Hello, I plan on running a few HERO games at Origins this year. I will require a sponsor, and am working on getting one. I will probably run the following (subject to your recommendation): Revelations 1001 (HERO System, Fantasy HERO): The End Times of Book of Revelation are literally coming true in 1001 A.D. Six heroes have been gathered by the forces of light, some of them far more reluctantly than others, to gather sacred artifacts that will help defeat the Anti-Christ and his forces. They must brave terrible monsters and great evil to acquire them, and then shall face the Anti-Christ and his army on the plains of Megiddo. Th…

I'm looking to play Champions, Fantasy Hero, and Space Hero. This doesn't have to be a big con, just one where a player can hook up. Being able to stay in a hotel hosting this is a plus but not a requirement.

DunDracon is at the San Ramon Marriott in California and goes from 2/16-2/19/18. Traditionally, the Hero Games community makes a strong showing at this role playing heavy convention. Who is going?

What do you pack to take to your Con when travelling? Note: My wife says I take an office to Dundracon. I can't lie. I almost do. If I am travelling and staying at a con: My laptop and wireless trackball - Most of my more important hero books are electronic and I have HD too, so I don't carry a lot of books. My unlucky hero dice. Sadly, any dice in my hands is unlucky when a player. Chessex battlemat and vis-a-vis pens. A small atomizer with dihydrogen oxide - the ultimate solvent. Any figures and toy vehicles I might need if I am running at the con (I have a lot of heroclix remounted for gaming use). A laser printer. I foun…
