From the DunDraCon Facebook page: DunDraCon 45 COVID Policy: We want you to feel secure attending DunDraCon 45. We need to have precautions in place to provide as much safety as possible for our staff and attendees. The Santa Clara Marriott is much larger than our previous home in San Ramon, and there will be many people in the hotel for reasons other than DunDraCon who do not have to follow our protocols. We will require proof of completed vaccinations for everyone attending DunDraCon 45. As DunDraCon is a social event, there will be no exceptions due to medical, religious, or personal preference. We will not accept …

Checking in. Anyone going? I've signed up to run a Robot Warriors game. It's going to be quick and dirty, not unlike my Danger International game in 2019. See you there? @Tom Cowan? @lemming? Anyone else?

So a different type of question for the convention forum. What were the last games you ran at a convention and did they succeed. And by succeed did you and your players have fun? I had stopped going to cons for the better part of a decade because of life. I had planned on starting up again just as the C19 hit. Last year in Oct 21 my local tabletop gaming convention, Dragonflight, opened it's doors. I had a fantastic time as I remembered what I had been missing. Of the three planned games I was able to run two. 1) Demons of Eldritch Shadow (Star Trek Adventures horror) 2) Darkness at outpost Delta Six (Nights…

Hey all! Every year I run the panel track for a convention called Metatopia. This year, since we've gone virtual, we're not restricted to guests we can actually get to shlep out to New Jersey, and so I have managed to arrange for several of my (and Hero's) dearest friends to turn up: Steve, Jason, Bruce Harlick, Rod Currie, Storn Cook, Brad McDevitt, Melissa Gay, along with literally hundreds of other tabletop luminaries doing panels, roundtables and seminars on various topics. And best of all, it's free! So what are you waiting for? Register now and put the dang thing on your calendar! https://www.dexposure.com/m2020.html

I looked at there site, and GenCon 2020 is still planning to go on. Is this actually so? (I was originally planning on going to GenCon this year to celebrate my 50th birthday, but plans and life said otherwise even before the Coronavirus. Prehaps I can celebrate my 50th year as a physical being on the planet next year, on my 51st birthday. )

Hello, I just submitted 5 game options at Origins this year. I am not a part of a group, but I will be running 5 HERO games at Origins this year (thought about mixing with Savage Worlds, but figured that it would mess up my DM brain too much). I'll post the schedule as we get closer. Champions: Evilution Unchained!: An adaptation of Pete Ruttman's 3-Act adventure for a convention setting. It's a modified "historical" game set 20 years ago. It is set in the late Dave Webb's campaign city of Metro City, which replaces the San Francisco Bay Area in this modified Champions Universe. The players are a team of new superheroes who are taking upon the ma…

I will be attending the U-Con Gaming Convention over in Ypsilanti, Michigan from November 9-11th. Shane Harsch will also be in attendance, but I am right now the only one of two running HERO games. I will be running a Champions game set in Russia (Russian Winter) and another that features the MCU Avengers vs the D&D Demon Lord Orcus. Details are here.

Will anyone on the HERO Games forums be attending Dragon Con 2019? I'll be in attendance and have signed up for the only currently listed HERO System game sessions (the Saturday night sessions). It's a 5th edition Champions two-part scenario. Details for parts 1 & 2 can be found at the embedded hyperlinks. Here's the Dragon Con Gaming site where you can search for events and sign up. Open slots are still available. Let me know if you're planning to attend and would like to play games.

Hello, I managed to get my games scheduled at Origins this year. I am not a part of a group, but I will be running a few HERO games at Origins this year. Here is my schedule: A Life Less Ordinary (HERO System, Anime HERO): Some students in Japan acquire great powers and must stop a force of terrifying and insidious evil from consuming their college campus. RPG. 4-6 Players. Wednesday, June 12th from 2 pm - 6 pm. Revelations 1001 (HERO System, Fantasy HERO): The End Times of Book of Revelation are literally coming true in 1001 A.D. Six heroes have been gathered by the forces of light, some of them far more relucta…

Howdy, Herophiles! As some of you may already know, I'm a guest at GenghisCon 42 -- this February 21-24! You can find out about the con in general here: GenghisCon 42, Feb. 21-24 And early registration for games is already open! Game Registration I am running three games, one each day: Scales Of The Serpent (which I think has gotten mis-named "V.I.P.E.R. Returns" in the registration table), a Champions scenario; The Shadow From The Mountains, a Fantasy Hero adventure; and Let's Go To The Maul, an MHI RPG / Urban Fantasy Hero caper. I've already seen a couple of people sign up for them, so you'd better hurry if you want to get one of t…
