Just wanted to get the ball rolling. I have just submitted the initial description of my events for next year. I am actually using some new characters this year, so I am busy creating those now. It would be nice to see some of y'all this year, and we should def try and set something up.

DunDraCon 47 takes place on President's Day weekend (Feb. 16-19, 2024). It will be located at the Santa Clara Marriott in Santa Clara, CA. This convention usually has a good selection of Hero Games offerings. Worth attending if you are in the area.

Do we have anything going on at Pacificon, or is it too little of an event?

So, I asked in a different thread but got no answer. Is Hero Games going to have a presence at GenCon this year? Are they sharing space in a booth in the exhibit hall? If so, I'd like to stop by and say hi. I'm signed up for a few Hero Games (Delta Flight, Crisis on Champions Earths), though not as many as I would have liked. I'm going with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law so I had some schedule obligations that conflicted with other games. Hope to see people there!

For those who'll be at Gen Con this year, I'm helping host a Darren Watts Memorial game room on Thursday night. An entire room will be filled with friends of Darren, and dozens of game tables. If you'd like to run a game in Darren's honor, sign up at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfV3YQ7vvjDft-lEB2qj2ob9tYwtZHGn4feCNnx70J362-jOw/viewform

Dundracon 46 will be at the Santa Clara Marriott this year. Games are posted on the website. Mask and vaccination mandate is the same from last year. Some changes: 1) The program book will not have descriptions of the RPGs games offered. This is to slim down the book. Descriptions are still online. 2) I believe they expanded the number of rooms at the hotel but it stilled filled up pretty fast. But you can always try. I have a spreadsheet with the HERO based games you can look at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qL-akWd-8Nwpwdm6T7A8JzYO1ZBij6PCiKzwu68Kflw/edit?usp=sharing There are 12 HERO games being o…

Event signups have begun for GameStorm 23! There's a new web site for signups, which should be in your email if you've purchased your badge already. I'm considering running a HERO System event.

Hello everyone, U-Con is finally returning in-person after a 2-year hiatus online. Details are here. It will be the weekend of October 7-9th. I will be running The Battle of Detroit, an homage to the canonical event where Dr. Destroyer battled America's superheroes (and others). Shane Harsch is also running a couple hero games as well. I hope to see you all there!

So a different type of question for the convention forum. What were the last games you ran at a convention and did they succeed. And by succeed did you and your players have fun? I had stopped going to cons for the better part of a decade because of life. I had planned on starting up again just as the C19 hit. Last year in Oct 21 my local tabletop gaming convention, Dragonflight, opened it's doors. I had a fantastic time as I remembered what I had been missing. Of the three planned games I was able to run two. 1) Demons of Eldritch Shadow (Star Trek Adventures horror) 2) Darkness at outpost Delta Six (Nights…

From the DunDraCon Facebook page: DunDraCon 45 COVID Policy: We want you to feel secure attending DunDraCon 45. We need to have precautions in place to provide as much safety as possible for our staff and attendees. The Santa Clara Marriott is much larger than our previous home in San Ramon, and there will be many people in the hotel for reasons other than DunDraCon who do not have to follow our protocols. We will require proof of completed vaccinations for everyone attending DunDraCon 45. As DunDraCon is a social event, there will be no exceptions due to medical, religious, or personal preference. We will not accept …

Checking in. Anyone going? I've signed up to run a Robot Warriors game. It's going to be quick and dirty, not unlike my Danger International game in 2019. See you there? @Tom Cowan? @lemming? Anyone else?

Hey all! Every year I run the panel track for a convention called Metatopia. This year, since we've gone virtual, we're not restricted to guests we can actually get to shlep out to New Jersey, and so I have managed to arrange for several of my (and Hero's) dearest friends to turn up: Steve, Jason, Bruce Harlick, Rod Currie, Storn Cook, Brad McDevitt, Melissa Gay, along with literally hundreds of other tabletop luminaries doing panels, roundtables and seminars on various topics. And best of all, it's free! So what are you waiting for? Register now and put the dang thing on your calendar! https://www.dexposure.com/m2020.html

I looked at there site, and GenCon 2020 is still planning to go on. Is this actually so? (I was originally planning on going to GenCon this year to celebrate my 50th birthday, but plans and life said otherwise even before the Coronavirus. Prehaps I can celebrate my 50th year as a physical being on the planet next year, on my 51st birthday. )

Hello, I just submitted 5 game options at Origins this year. I am not a part of a group, but I will be running 5 HERO games at Origins this year (thought about mixing with Savage Worlds, but figured that it would mess up my DM brain too much). I'll post the schedule as we get closer. Champions: Evilution Unchained!: An adaptation of Pete Ruttman's 3-Act adventure for a convention setting. It's a modified "historical" game set 20 years ago. It is set in the late Dave Webb's campaign city of Metro City, which replaces the San Francisco Bay Area in this modified Champions Universe. The players are a team of new superheroes who are taking upon the ma…
