So I've been decorating my gaming backpack with patches and enamel pins and was looking for similar products for Hero Games (like a Hexman patch or an enamel pin of the 4e BBB cover). Would anyone here know where I would find something like that?

Black Water, Green Death is an extended adventure seed in the same vein as Robert E Howard’s story Queen of the Black Coast and the “Sailing to the Past” segment of Michael Moorcock’s The Sailor on the Seas of Fate. Other influences include numerous tales of European explorers attempting to navigate the Amazon, Congo, Nile, and other great rivers. It features a detailed outline of events, as well as numerous optional encounters, rumors, and possible end game scenarios.

I recently purchased a third party product listed as a Heroed 6th Edition product. However, the product clearly was using in it some, if not all, of the 5th edition rules (hexes of movement, aids and drains that dwindle slower than 5pt/turn costing less than +1, explosive seemingly separate from AoE). This isn't particularly detrimental to me, as I bought it for campaign ideas, not pre-built powers and vehicles, but it seems like a pretty glaring inaccuracy (giving the benefit of the doubt). Are the material in the website store vetted by anyone associated with Hero games? Thanks!

As many of you know DOJ INC - the parent company which owns Hero Games - has a logistics division that provides services to other companies. Its website is http://www.dojlogistics.com. One of the services we provide is the online sale of board, card, roleplaying games, and figurines on our client's behalf. As few if any of these products have any direct relation to the HERO System, we've set aside an exclusive section of our store for them. This forum has been created to allow us to announce when new products of this type become available. Feel free to aks questions, post reviews, and generally discuss these fine non-Hero products with others on the Discussion Boards.

Way back in the day there was a Richard Garfield card game called Netrunner. I loved it, but found it difficult to find others to play it with. I've often reflected back fondly upon it over the years as one of my all time faves. Recently my nearly-7 son has gotten into card and board games. He started off with pokemon, but has matured past that and has wanted to play some more advanced games. He's precocious (I wont be so immodest as to imply it is due to him inheriting vast uncharted intelligence from a parent bearing both an X and a Y chromosome), and usually does reasonably well even on games rated 14+ with a little guidance on the trickier bits. We…

The most aptly named game ever! In this exceptionally silly and awesome card game, your objective is to win! Simple enough. Sadly, all of your opponents have the same simple goal, and they're trying to make you lose. Between Rock Paper Scissors battles, being eaten by a random Dragon, or saved by a Kitten Ambush, there are many hazards to avoid. Games last between 30 seconds and 5 minutes, and are lots of fun. Any number can play, though we recommend between 2 and 15. This product is available from the Hero Store here.

Highly recommend by Jason and Tina! In “Who Would Win?” two players draw random character cards and turn up a random event card. Each player argues for 20 seconds as to why their character would win. The other players serve as the jury and vote on which player had the better argument. The first player to win 5 arguments wins the game. Some example possibilities: Ben Franklin vs. Barbie in a lion taming competition Mick Jagger vs. Pocahantas in a kayaking race Nelson Mandela vs. Sean Connery in a poker showdown George Bush vs. Peter Pan in a pie-eating contest This new Gorilla Games product can be purchased from the Hero Store here.

Baour: Strands of Death is a fantasy courtroom novel by European RPG critic Dirk Vandereyken. It is published by Blackwyrm Books. In a small village, a necromancer stands trial. At the center of the universe, the Spider that wove All watches intently. Webs are spun in the courtroom, of magic, of lies, and of scandal. The mage Baour argues that he supercedes not only man’s laws, but god’s! What he truly wants may only be uncovered through testimony. As strange magics meet strange deaths, can the reality be unmasked? And should it? This product is available in the Non-Hero Products portion of the Hero Store.

This free download contains the opening chapters of five books Blackwyrm published in the first half of 2009. BlackWyrm specializes in speculative fiction (fantasy, science fiction, and horror) by undiscovered talent. First up, comes The Vast White by Jason Walters, the first book in the Murderer’s Edge trilogy. This fantasy book is written in the form of military transcriptions, by an unwilling journalist with contempt for his audience and a gonzo mentality. Second is The Rainbow Connection by Ian Harac. An FBI agent finds a dead Munchkin in a suspect’s apartment, and must travel to the land of Oz to investigate. Oh, and people are trying to kill him, of course…

Whack a Catgirl is a game with a simple concept. Neko-chan, the catgirl, is cute! Therefore she must be pelted with various objects. Plushies, water, fangirls: you name it! It's a fast paced, easy to learn card game featuring very cute art, and some minor comedic cartoon violence. Every one of the 62 cards has its own unique flavor text, and the humor is all PG-13. This product is available from the Hero Store here.

This Sorcerer supplement's topic concerns how to achieve advanced themes in role-playing through the use and abuse of the game-mechanic called Humanity. The literary background for this supplement is the detective tradition, by such authors as Raymond Chandler, Robert Van Gulik, and Ross MacDonald. Rules applications include multiple options and consequences for defining Humanity, humans as demons, demons as humans, angelics to go with the demonics, and an original method for preparing scenarios based on the limits of morality. This product is available from the Hero Store here.
