The Magus University Superdraft

Recommended Posts

We're Knights of the Round Table.
We dance whene'er we're able.
We do routines and chorus scenes
With footwork impeccable.
We dine well here in Camelot.
We eat ham and jam and spam-a-lot.

We're Knights of the Round Table.
Our shows are formidable,
But many times we're given rhymes
That are quite unsingable.
We're opera mad in Camelot.
We sing from the diaphragm-a-lot.

In war we're tough and able,
Quite indefatigable.
Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable.
It's a busy life in Camelot.

I have to push the pram-a-lot.

Just in case anybody is looking for inspiration for their department, here are some good options simplified. By no means exhaustive.

  • “Schools” of magic by way of D&D (and more), the styles linked by common effect.
    • o   Abjuration, magic that blocks, banishes, or protects.
    • o   Conjuration, creating objects and creatures, or making them disappear.
    • o   Divination, spells of discernment, remote viewing, supernatural knowledge and foresight.
    • o   Enchantment, spells designed to manipulate the mental state of the target.
    • o   Evocation, unleash a raw magical energy upon one’s enemies.
    • o   Illusion, manipulating the various senses of people and creatures.
    • o   Necromancy, manipulating “life energy,” considered evil by some, but encompasses healing magic, too.
    • o   Transmutation, manipulate the physical properties of both items and people.
  • “Traditions” of magic by way of Pathfinder, linked by source.
    • o   Arcane, the magic inherent in the world around us.
    • o   Divine, magic granted by the gods and powers beyond this plane.
    • o   Primal, the magic of nature, plants, and animals, favorite of druids and shamans.
    • o   Occult, the magic of personal power and the ‘blood.’
  • Other studies of magic
    • o   Elementalism, Alchemy, Astrology, Runes & Sigils, Witchcraft, Demonology, Familiar Mastery, Numerology, Zoology, etc.
  • Crafting, the ‘practice’ side of magic, creation of objects and artifacts
    • o   So many options, like Swords, Scrolls, Wands, Staves, Jewels, Food, Architecture, Armor, Rugs, etc.

Got a notion, a location, a few characters, a twist that I hope people find amusing. I just hope I don't get sniped. Not much luck finding suitable images on the internet, since people seem to like the purty pitchurs, and my first attempts to use AI art generation sites have not been encouraging.
