(Admittedly ScarJo is a "bargain" since Hollywood underpays all women not named Jennifer Lawrence.) She's a bigger star than any of them were at the time they signed their initial contracts. zslane Posted June 12, 2016 Report Share Posted June 12, 2016 If Universal can afford Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, and Kristen Stewart for a crappy Snow White "reboot", Marvel can surely afford Charlize Theron (plus a B- or C-list supporting cast) for their premier female-lead franchise film. And at 40, she's still gorgeous, and more importantly, she is far more commanding a presence, in my view, than most 20- and 30-somethings in Hollywood. Having said that, she doesn't seem opposed to being the star of a (two-movie, so far) Snow White "franchise". And I think she has expressed a willingness to reprise her role in Mad Max: Fury Road. But she probably dislikes the idea of committing to multiple pictures right up front, as opposed to accepting them as they come along. I mentioned Charlize for the role once (mostly because she flat out resembles Danvers) and a bunch of guys jumped down my throat for it....weird.
