The vintage MJ looked more mature to me than a high schooler. Zendaya looks too young to me. Not by "real high school teenager" standards, but by classic Marvel artwork standards. As long as they give her red hair for the role, it should be okay. It would be a little difficult to do batman that way - old money, even now, implies white. Iron Fist is an ousider in Kung Lung - so I wouldn't want an Asian, but any other would be fine for me. My only issue with Johnny Storm being black is that I think Sue and Johnny share the same ethnicity. She looks fine for MJ to me. If the new MJ is going to be in high school, fine, but I feel she should be like Cordelia (from Buffy), minus the shallow intellect and pathological narcisissm of course.
